Hello, Izzy, we do apologize for your experience with our soap base. Our soap bases are actually one of our top sellers. We are sorry that this was a miss for you. We always advise our customers to heat the soap between 120-150 degrees Fahrenheit in order for the soap to melt without over heating. We also recommend cutting the soap into small cubes for a quicker melting time! You can melt in a double boiler or in the microwave.
