I worked with Jason Margelefsky and David Marsh. Both were competent and helpful. The process requires an onerous collection of financial data. This process was facilitated by courteous guidance. The process moved forward at a reasonable pace to positive outcome.

After years of research and hesitation, we finally decided to get a reverse mortgage. After interviewing many other lenders, we were sure we would be best served by a lender that specialized exclusively in reverse mortgages only. Although there were others, we selected RMF because they had an excellent reputation as a national lender and they wouldn't sell our loan off to other banks or lenders for servicing. Our loan officer was Russ Sonnenborn who stayed in touch with us every step of the way. Very knowledgeable and professional. It was a pleasure working with Russ. We often heard horror stories about the reverse mortgage program, so we're happy we chose Reverse Mortgage Funding.

Our loan officer, Andrew, was very helpful with the entire process. He responded to all of my questions and concerns even on weekends and in the evening. When something popped into my mind, I would send an email to Andrew and he would reply immediately. The biggest problem that I had was with the appraisal. The appraiser pointed out some problems with my house that I had not had repaired because of the Pandemic and they were covered under my house warranty. Because of the refusal of the underwriters to finalize the loan, 2 problems with a total of $1,000 estimate to repair them, for a house that was appraised at $830,000, seemed ridiculous. I was forced into resolving the problems before I felt comfortable doing so. Jason Lynch worked on my behalf to resolve the problem and arranged for a plumber to give final approval of one item. The other item was a garage door opener, covered by home warranty, which I had replaced, but the repairman, determined that an additional $1200 was needed to replace all of the garage door hardware. Since I was under pressure from the underwriters to complete the work, I did not get additional estimates nor even find out if the work was necessary. I just paid for the additional repair. So my only real problem was with the underwriters and the appraiser. The loan officer and his team were magnificent and the loan went through as promised.

Even with some "bumps in the road", Jerry Henley was great to work with and always there with answers to my questions.

The experience with RMF was very positive. My loan agent worked with me promptly through the bid process and was able to match any other competitor. He was constantly in contact with me throughout the loan process and helped me manage adjustments to the final numbers. Highly recommended
