I used Rover for the 1st time because I had to find a sitter at the last minute. My cousin told me the day before my trip that she would not be able to keep my mini schnauzer over the weekend. Rover had plenty of choices and I found an awesome sitter. The app was easy to use.

This app is entirely run by dodgy AI bots, there is literally no way of speaking to a human. I had an issue in the app as a sitter where no requests from sitters were appearing in my ibox. I went round in circles getting random responses that weren’t relèvent. Then I was then literally LIED to that I was speaking with a human over the ‘24/7 customer support’, I tried calling the number and a bot said to leave a voicemail and they’d ’get back to me the next day’ (send me another copy and pasted message). They quite literally steal your money, hope the account will work, if it does, they continue to take money gradually, if it doesn’t they abandon your account. It’s not okay to completely lie to your customer. Be careful on this app. Here is an actual message they sent me pretending to be human: ‘Ma'am, there is nothing further I can do regarding this matter. As previously explained, the owner's account does not exist anymore. We are not allowed to disclose any further details, and the account has been deactivated. Let's not beat around the bush; the client you are looking for is no longer on our platform.’
