Whilst the product appears to work well, it took some time to be delivered and there were no updates by email as to when I could expect the item and no tracking information. I had to email the company to try and find out.

Waited 6 weeks for delivery as the pre order date when I place the order was mid December. This changed without me being informed to end of December. By January it still had not been dispatched. Customer service was helpful and cancelled the order and gave a full refund.

Hi Emily, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review — and we’re really sorry for the frustration caused by the wait for your order. I’ve taken a look at this for you and I believe that your order was for our new Sonic Odyssey device, which was being offered as a pre-order at the time. The estimated dispatch timing is shown on the product page, with orders scheduled to ship towards the end of December. Some pre-orders have already started leaving us, with the remaining orders due to follow shortly, in line with the information provided. That said, we completely understand that waiting longer than expected can be disappointing, and we’re glad our customer care team was able to help promptly by cancelling the order and issuing a full refund. We really appreciate you giving Sonic Dental a try, and we hope you might consider coming back to us in the future once Sonic Odyssey is fully in stock. If you ever have any questions before ordering, our team is always happy to help. Thanks again for your feedback, The Sonic Dental Team

Having first owned a Zima dental pod I was keen to try a Sonic having seen all the adverts. The machine is good enough but doesn’t match up to the Zima in my experience. Firstly is very noisy whereas the Zima is a very quiet hum. The lid flips up on the Sonic which can cause the water to run backwards flowing over the outlet where the power socket clicks in which could damage the machine. This is poorly thought out design wise. It’s not as sleek as the Zima and overall unnecessarily heavy and noisy.

After seeing many recent poor reviews of orders not being delivered in a ‘sensible period of time’ stated by the company itself, as well as false ambitious statements of aims to ‘ship within 1 working day’. It’s so disappointing to see that many people are experiencing 5+ weeks of their orders being sent ON TOP OF; missing orders, false delivery times and damaged goods. I placed an order late December which although is still recent compared to others, I have had no communication since the order being confirmed. Edit: 07/01/25 - Ava Clarke reached out replying to my email of concern very quickly and understood my point of view very well. She gave me clarification on why these shipments have taken so long which is honourable. With this, my order has now been shipped with a confirmation email. Highly recommended her service if you are experiencing the same issue.

Really pleased to have the sonic dental pod. Was very excited to use it. I brought tablets although it did come with a small amount. Great cleaning pod... however, i purchased my next lot of dental tablets 29th November (5 weeks ago) and still havent received them. Ive chased up on my order for the tablets on numerous occasions. 5th December response was “they will arrive soon”.. its now the 5th January and my order still hasnt been processed. I didnt want a refund because I needed them, out of good will they offered a second box added to my order. The latest response was “wont be too long”.. 23rd Decmeber. No dates or how long a customer is having to wait for their order or any information on delays on their website?! You can still buy them now and there is no out of stock notification. If there was an out of stock obviously wouldnt have tried to buy them. Im out of pocket and still havent received my order. Fully aware that i dont have to use them with the pod however it cleans my Invisalign so much better with the tablets and im just disappointed ive ordered back in November and im still waiting, had to chase and STILL hasnt been processed 5 weeks later! UPDATE: 9th Jan. my order has now been despatched, spoken to Ava who was really apologetic and explained the delayed reasons and offered me a refund. Ava is quick to respond to emails and is very helpful, thank you.
