It's easy to give the Sutton Capital Emerging Managers program 5 stars! I learned a ton from the LP mentors, from the other Gps in the program and from Joel himself. I appreciate the practical, tactical approach -- everyone GP in the program is actually building a fund and every week we were either pitching to LPs or listening to, and learning from, other Gps pitching to Lps. Joel is super supportive of emerging managers, a knowledgeable venture capitalist, an amazing community builder and an Energizer bunny... honestly, I don't where he finds the hours to do everything he does!

Great pitch practice! This is a bull pen of funds, you will learn pattern recognition of who you are up against for LP dollars and how to hone your pitch to be engaging and short. It is worth the time to meet the other managers and get this practice in.

I began my fellowship at Sutton Capital in mid-January and have learned so much. This program's two-fold approach through academic content and weekly partner meetings immerse an individual in the world of private equity and venture capital. The world-class academic lectures provide one with the necessary knowledge to be an effective venture capitalist. The lecture material teaches what venture capital is and how it differs from private equity, how to value a company, what to ask a founder, and so much more. The weekly partner's meetings allow one to pitch companies to partners from various firms and get guidance on if one should do more diligence or pass. At this stage, an individual is doing the work of a venture capitalist. You will have the necessary knowledge and skills to create your deal flow and carve your path in venture capital. Like anything in life, you will get what you put in. If you're ready to put in the work, you will find yourself surrounded by people who will support you and help you succeed. I recommend Sutton Capital's Private Equity and Venture Capital Rotation with the utmost confidence.

The Sutton Capital program is proving to be an excellent experience and a great cohort to be a part of. You learn first hand from people who are VCs such as Joel and Matt that provide you an excellent insight to what it takes, what's required, practical examples/guidance and also you work closely with both in actually presenting deals to an IC - with no other program offering you this practical experience where you actually work as a VC, and not just study materials/lectures. This is what sets the program apart from all other courses out there in the market and the fact that Joel is available setting up time to check up on your progress, you can also get his advice and help on all things VC related whilst providing a great network to connect with active VCs. cannot recommend the program enough for beginners, professional and VC's alike.
