VIOFO was built on a simple belief: a dash cam should feel like part of the car—not a bulky gadget—and it should stay reliable, delivering clear evidence when it matters most. At a time when the market was filled with bulky designs, unreliable batteries, and poor video quality, we stepped in to solve the problems others ignored. We moved beyond intrusive suction cups to create compact, discreet dash cams that blend seamlessly into your vehicle. We were among the first to introduce supercapacitor-based models, replacing traditional batteries for greater reliability and safety in extreme heat. And by continuously integrating advanced Sony sensors and HDR technology, we ensure drivers capture clear, dependable footage—day or night.
VIOFO (viofo.com) has 318 customer reviews on Folks Told, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Their a329s dashcam is great. Records in amazing 4k, the hk6 is great for hybrid parking mode allowing me to record at 1-10fps then switching to impact detection if my car battery gets low. Their customer support is also amazing. The default power cord wasn’t long enough for my challenger since the fuse box is in the trunk and they are sending me a new one.

Purchased a 2-channel dash cam (A229 Plus) from Amazon. Months later, the main dash cam LCD screen began malfunctioning periodically. Contacting VIOFO support was easy and response was quick. After trying a couple of suggestions, it was deemed to be a faulty hardware. VIOFO shipped a replacement unit and provided a pre-paid return shipping label. Communications with support was easy and productive the entire time. Definitely will continue purchasing VIOFO devices, especially since I know support is excellent.

I purchased an A329S dual dashcam system directly from Viofo. The rear camera stopped recording after about 2 months. Viofo tech support quickly identified the problem as a defective cable connecting the rear camera to the main camera and sent a new one the next day. Once installed the rear camera started recording again. Great response and service!!!

Linda in customer service to the rescue!! Mercedes needs longer power cables. The HK6 Hardwire Kit wasn't long enough as the fusebox is under the passenger seat. One Chat convo with Viofo Support and they're sending me a longer one for a very small fee. Totally worth it! It didn't expect free but got it a great price and FAST. Thanks Viofo and Linda. I recommend Viofo. Picture is tight. Customer Service responsive. No hassle.

I reached out to VIOFO support due to a shipment delay caused by a Canada post strike, the support was not only rapid but very friendly. They had already organized another shipment with a different company and sure enough I received my order within a short period of time. Big shout out to Nancy Ma and Annie Shi at VIOFO support. The devices also work very well! Highly recommended.

I had an issue with my vehicle camera, which I purchased several years ago through an authorized dealer. I contacted Viofo through the website support service, and was replied to in a reasonable time. Cassie Walked me through the debugging process and several tests. This proved to be a faulty camera. Cassie offered me some options on how to go by getting a replacement camera. I opted to send my camera in for replacement for a small fee, since my camera was out of warranty. The new camera arrived and is working as expected. I currently have two a129 cameras in my vehicles, and just purchased another for a family member. I value a company with great service, a great product and one that stands by their products. It shows in the workmanship, as I have been happy with mine for about 6 years now.
