I had a severe case of gout and initially went to Walgreens to see a nurse practitioner. I spent $115 dollars there and it was a complete waste of time and money with no improvement on my gout. I called MMProactive and talked to a doctor that explained everything to me. That day I picked up my prescription and a week later I the gout was gone. Save time and money by using MDProactive, I highly recommend it.

I had just arrived in Miami from a one week cruise and already had a terrible UTI. Since we planned to extend our vacation in Miami for a few days, I knew I needed to get some medication quickly. I didn’t want to waste precious vacation time trying to find a walk-in clinic, wait to see a doctor, get a prescription and then have to find a pharmacy. I happened to stumble upon the MDProactive website on Google advertising a low $39.99 phone call visit where the doctor would then call in a prescription after the visit. My husband warned me he thought this was a scam. I had never tried this route in the past. I have always gone in person to see the doctor. Since I have had UTI’s before, I felt confident I had another UTI. So I filled out the questionnaire which included my name, health history, current medication usage, phone number and credit card #. I then paid the $39.99 fee after the questionnaire and I was assured I would get a phone call within an hour. I actually got a phone call back from a doctor within ten minutes. A couple of minutes and a few questions later, the doctor told me he would call in some Bactrim antibiotics to the CVS pharmacy I had indicated. Side note: be sure you know what time the pharmacy closes before you list it on the questionnaire and be sure you double check that you have listed the correct pharmacy before submitting the questionnaire. This is because if you need to change the pharmacy for any reason, you will not be able to. The doctor cannot go in the system and change it nor can you go back and change it on the questionnaire once it has been submitted. Just to clarify, we arrived in Miami on a Sunday and by the time I was able to request a phone call visit from an MD Proactive doctor, it was already 4:45 pm and a lot of the surrounding pharmacies closed at 5:00 pm. I did not realize the CVS pharmacy I submitted in the questionnaire closed at 5:00 pm until after I submitted the form. When the doctor called me at 4:55 pm, I told him the pharmacy I chose was about to close and I would not have time to get there before then. I told him I knew of a nearby Publix pharmacy that closed at 6:00 pm and could he switch my pharmacy preference to Publix? He apologized and said he could not go in and change the pharmacy preference once the request was submitted nor could I since it was completed. However, graciously he offered to cancel the phone call and credit card transaction. He told me I could then go back online, fill out a new request with my new pharmacy choice, pay again and that he would call in my prescription to the Publix pharmacy once I made and paid for the new request. I asked him if he would be calling me again but he told me “no, there is no need to call you again. I will just call the Publix pharmacy once you fill out, pay for and submit the new transaction.” I was nervous he would not cancel the old transaction and then I would be stuck with two $39.99 doctor phone calls but I was desperate and in pain. So I took a chance and went back online, filled out another questionnaire and paid for a new “phone call” even though the doctor did not need to call me back the second time. I was at the pharmacy 10 minutes later and they were already filling my prescription! While I was waiting, I checked to see if he had canceled the old transaction and sure enough he had! I was so super impressed with the service I received and the low fee! To make things even better, when I went to pay for the Bactrim, they told me it was a free medication offered by Publix pharmacy to its customers. This whole thing could not have gone any smoother or any better (except for maybe picking the correct pharmacy). Had I gone into a walk-in clinic, I would have paid at the very least a $145 doctor visit out-of-pocket and would have most likely had a long wait. I am in-between insurance and currently have none. So keeping the doctor visit fees and medication costs to a minimum is of great concern to me. I am a nurse and feel like this is a more than adequate way to treat people with relatively small ailments - especially if it is for something you have been treated for before. They treat illnesses such as UTI’s like I had, ear infections, etc . . You can go online and see what they treat. However, if you are severely sick or have life threatening symptoms then you need to go see a doctor in person. This is the wave of the future people! I HIGHLY recommend!

Since it was a Saturday and my Dr.s office was closed I tried this online MDProactive for the first time. As advertised $39, to talk to a doctor but doesn't say how long before a doctor call you back so I got the $59 call back in 45 min. A doctor called within a few minutes and Rx was sent to CVS as promised. It was QUICK AND EASY!!!

Great service, quick response time. very useful service for a situation where you know what is wrong with you and you need antibiotics. I am prone to ear infections, i know how they feel exactly and the symptoms. worked great for this as i did not need to go to urgent care, sit there for 3 hours, and then get a $500 bill.
