Wild Idea Buffalo is unlike any other meat company. We began with a vision of actually improving the eco-system of the Great Plains. Our buffalo are raised on the wide open spaces of South Dakota where they eat only the native grasses beneath their feet. They spend their whole lives roaming freely on thousands of acres, and never see a feedlot or slaughterhouse. The result is better lives for the bison, the restoration of over 100,000 acres of the prairie, and sweet, delicious red meat that is actually good for you. Not such a wild idea after all!

With the cost of beef going up my husband and I both agree buffalo is the better deal. Its lean, delicious and worth every penny. We try different cuts and have recently purchased a roast for christmas. We love love love the hot dogs and the italian buffalo sausage is WONDERFUL! I am so glad we decided to try buffalo.

I recently stayed with friends who served Wild Idea Buffalo filets. They were remarkably good! So I decided to purchase some items myself. Like my other experience, the steaks were amazing. Flavorful, easy to cook, just wonderful. The salami and bratwurst were just okay, so I'll pass on them my next order. My only complaint is that I also ordered two, 4oz tritip steaks, and got 1 8oz tritip steak. It's a minor nit, but it was inconvenient to thaw, cut, then refreeze the second steak. A pretty minor issue. All and all, I'm pretty happy, and will definitely be buying more filets!

I have bought from Wild Idea a few times now and have never been disappointed with the products or the service. The quality and taste of the meat is excellent. I have tried their steaks, their ground meat products, their roasts and their cured meats. The fact that it is grass fed, and humanely harvested makes me feel better about purchasing from them rather than just going to the supermarket. The Wild Idea Buffalo Co. is also conservation conscious which again, makes me proud to support them and their efforts.

The first time I ordered from Wild Idea was just a month ago and I have ordered product two times since. Ordering, tracking and delivery went very well as does the product taste great. A couple of things that I think could use improvement: I did receive several packages that the plastic shrink film was damaged allowing air into the product. One package was andullie sausage and a package of ground burger. I do not need replacement as I cooked the product knowing it would not last in the freezer. Another area is nutritional information for the products-it would be helpful to know what the nutritional labeling looks like.
