Hello David, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your experience left you feeling pressured, frustrated, and disappointed. We understand how a conversation involving costs, particularly after you had already made a significant financial commitment, could understandably lead to concern.
We believe there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the different arrangements and opportunities discussed during the conversation, and we would like to provide some clarification while also acknowledging how the experience made you feel.
When the opportunity to work directly with our team was discussed, the intention was to provide a more direct and significantly more affordable option for proceeding with the book signing. Since the payment associated with the previous arrangement had already been refunded, the registration required to proceed directly with us would be a separate payment made to our organization. It was not an additional charge on top of a payment that we had already received or retained.
During the same conversation, another opportunity involving broader book-signing exposure through upcoming book fairs was also presented. We want to emphasize that this was an entirely separate and optional opportunity. It was not an additional amount required to proceed with the original book signing, nor was accepting it a condition for moving forward with the direct arrangement.
We recognize that having these different options discussed within the same conversation, particularly in light of your previous investment, may have contributed to the impression that additional payment was being required in order to proceed. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and concern this caused. Our intention was to present the opportunities available to you, not to pressure or obligate you to make any additional purchase.
We also want to assure you that Writers’ Branding is a legitimate organization that works with authors to support their publishing and promotional goals. We take concerns regarding our legitimacy very seriously, and it is never our intention or practice to mislead, exploit, or pressure authors into purchasing additional services. Any additional opportunities presented are optional and intended to give authors choices based on their individual goals and interests.
While we believe this situation resulted from a misunderstanding regarding the separate arrangements and opportunities discussed, we fully acknowledge the concerns you have raised and sincerely regret that the interaction left you with a negative impression of our organization.
We value the trust authors place in us and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. We remain committed to treating our authors with professionalism, transparency, and respect throughout their experience with us."
