Xtrait Perfumery was born from a lifelong passion for high-concentration fragrances. What began with a single bottle, a gift from my mother, soon grew into a deep fascination with the world of niche perfumery. I found myself diving down the "rabbit hole" of artisanal craftsmanship and the evocative storytelling behind every scent. After years of traveling to New York City just to experience these rare olfactory works of art, I realized there was a gap to be filled right here in Central Connecticut. Knowing there were other enthusiasts seeking the same high-caliber experience, I founded Xtrait Perfumery to bring the world's most exceptional scents home.

Next day into New Jersey is about as good as it gets, so I am glad that worked out. Thank you for the note on the website too, that feedback is genuinely useful. See you on the next order. Kevin

I love this niche store! I just purchased three more fragrances that I am so excited to receive! They are trustworthy, shipping is quick, they have a great selection, they offer free samples with every purchase and have some great discounts every now and then. I will always come back to this store! The absolute best!

Teresa, thank you. Regular customers are the best thing about running a shop like this, and I hope the three new ones live up to the wait. If any of them surprise you, I would love to know which. Kevin

Passed this straight on to Sammy. Argos and Forbidden Apple is a strong pairing, one bright and one deep. Thanks for the shoutout. Kevin

A good first order matters, so thank you for saying so Larry. Packaging is one of those things nobody notices until it goes wrong, so I am glad it arrived as it should. Looking forward to the next one. Kevin

Great selection of indie and niche fragrances, beautiful website, and samples included. Great experience all around!

Thank you, Greg. A first order is the one we most want to get right, so it is good to hear the selection, the site and the samples all did their part. Tracking down the smaller independent houses is the part of this we enjoy most. Come back any time and we will point you at the next one.

Great pricing and the freebie sample choices brands was something i was not expecting! I definitely see myself buying from here again!

Thank you, Alex. Letting people pick their own sample brands felt more useful than choosing for them, so we are glad that came as a good surprise. Next time, say what you are leaning towards and we will suggest something to go alongside it.

Being able to shop quietly without sales reps hovering over you trying to sell you different scents.
Reply from Xtrait PerfumeryOct 8, 2026
Thank you, Scholasdica. The quiet is deliberate. Fragrance needs a little time and space to think, not someone talking over it. We are there the moment an opinion is wanted, and happy to stay out of the way until then.
