Great for listening and having someone listen.

I've used 7 Cups as both a member and listener, and it was in fact the unconditional support that I received as a member with severe anxiety that inspired me to pass on the kindness that was given to me on 7 Cups by becoming a listener myself. Being able to have a supportive human connection in the comfort of your own home is truly invaluable and is something I will never again take for granted with 7 Cups of Tea.

7 cups has really helped me deal with emotions. I love how everyone is anonymous so you feel safer. Not to mention if you don’t like how someone is talking or don’t exactly click with them, you can get a new one very easily. I also am a volunteer listener… I became a volunteer a couple of months ago and I love helping others so much! I enjoyed going through the training because not only does it help me to listen to others, it has also taught me to deal with my own emotions and mental health. You can almost do anything on 7 cups for free, unless you want professional help. I doubted the volunteer listener would help much because they’re not “professional” but I they are valuable even if they don’t have a certificate saying so. In order to volunteer you have to go through a course and answer a quiz then you can become a volunteer. This teaches the volunteers how to help members. Don’t get me wrong 7 cups does not replace therapy (and they never claimed to) but it still helps a lot! I highly recommend it! It’s free so you have nothing to lose!

It's really good platform for the people who are lonely and doesn't have anyone to share with I've been using this platform as a listener for past 4 years and I've really liked this app where I feel good after listening to the people who are in need basically a best platform you can ever find for you to vent about something anonymously

In 2020, I became a member of this community when I was struggling with severe anxiety. With their help and support, I slowly but surely began to feel better. Now, I am proud to give back by becoming a listener and supporting others who are going through similar struggles. This experience has taught me the importance of active listening, patience, love, and community development. I am grateful for the community I have found here, and I believe you will find it inspiring and fulfilling too.

The concept of 7cups is simple: Have people train to be a "listener" and they will help others in need. The training could be harder to complete, because as of now it is basically just common sense questions. This, of course, results in people who aren't fit to be a listener to become one. To prevent this issue you can choose a "verified" listener instead of a normal one. These are the ones that successfully completed a test to show they're able to actually help and listen. 7cups also has a forum where you can write your thoughts down and have listeners and members alike show empathy and acceptance towards your issues. The community there is the most helpful and loving I've ever seen on an online platform with very few black sheep. I can't speak from experience about the therapy 7cups provides, as it is the only service that costs money. I did notice though that 7cups makes it very clear therapy is not free and never does "in-your-face" pop-ups or ads to convince you to choose their therapy. 7cups really wants to help and if you need support for free or something to accompany therapy it's perfect. 7cups cannot provide help to those who mention having active suicidal thoughts or people who need advice or decisions made for them. Remember that 7cups listeners are NOT professionals and the closest you'll come to one is if you look through the listeners with the "verified" filter enabled.
