Very animated. Quick and concise. They mention at the end that one needs to pay and the amount is only mentioned at the end.

Thank you for the 4 stars! We're glad the process felt quick and clear overall. We appreciate the feedback on pricing being mentioned later in the process, that's helpful for us to hear as we look at ways to improve. If you'd like to share more, feel free to email [email protected], we're always listening.

I thought you were the IRS. I feel like I got scammed out of almost 200. Here my payment arrangements had already been set up. Your email made me panic so I signed up with you unnecessarily. Very deceiving.

We're sorry to hear about the confusion and stress, Stacey, that's not what we want for anyone reaching out to us. To clarify, 97tax is an independent, IRS e-file approved service, not the IRS itself, and we're upfront about that on our site and in our emails. We understand it's frustrating to feel you signed up unnecessarily. Please email [email protected] and let us know your order details, we're happy to look into this with you.

I was told to guess at the amount I owed which would be corrected after I applied. I sent the correct amount on the same day I applied. Receive my Form 9465 with the wrong amount.
Reply from 97tax.comJul 14, 2026
Hi Alvin, thanks for the feedback. The application uses the estimated amount entered when you apply, and your packet was likely mailed with your original estimate before your correction reached us. Easy fix: email [email protected] with the correct amount and we'll email you an updated copy of your application right away. And good to know: the IRS reconciles your application against their own records, so an estimate being off doesn't derail your plan.
