Get a USEFUL body!
GENERAL COMMENTS: I’m 58 and have worked out all my life, starting with the routines coaches gave me in Jr. high and high school. Years ago, I found one of Jeff’s YouTube videos about a killer leg workout and started including that in my weekly routine. That clued me in to the concept of “functional fitness” and training to have a USEFUL body instead of just a good-looking one. I started incorporating more Athlean-X stuff into my workouts and eventually purchased AX-1, completed it, bought AX-2 and completed that. I’ve done AX-1 twice now and am doing AX-2 again. It’s the same the second time around, but with more weight. This isn’t a problem, because there’s so much variety built into the workouts that they don’t get boring. RESULTS: I had experienced life-interrupting back pain periodically ever since college. No more, not since I started AX-1 the first time. Switching back and forth from my desk job to working on my property (landscaping, building, gardening projects, horse chores), mountain biking, skiing, hunting or backpacking, is no big deal. Every micro-muscle and ab I need (to do real work and have real fun) is in shape and ready for the task. I don’t look like Lou Ferrigno, but I’ll wager I could pull him out of a burning building if he needed me to. SAVINGS: After buying a couple of inexpensive things for my 10’x12’ home “gym,” I no longer have the monthly expense of a gym membership or the gas expense or time spent getting there. Plus, I only paid a modest amount *one time* for each of these two programs, which I can use for life. USER INTERFACE: It would be nice to have an app instead of the mobile-optimized website, but this is a trivial concern vs. all the above benefits I’ve received.
