BaseLangReviews of baselang.com

Opportunities for class are practically infinite. Teacher quality varies, but more hit than miss, not difficult to find a teacher you like. Many very good ones. Curriculum not always perfect, but extremely extensive. Customer service superb. And can try for one week free. Pretty good deal. I'm on my third month, quite happy with the experience. Usually I don't write reviews, but in this case, I don't mind.

The content on Baselang is good and there is a lot of it so I never run out of material for my classes. The teachers are definitely of varying quality, and honestly most of them are not trained as teachers. The teachers on the other platforms I have used are actually language teachers. But one hour with a native Spanish speaker working through a well designed curriculum with you one on one is really valuable. And they have hundreds of teachers so I just keep trying out new ones until I find one that I click with. I have learned a ton on baselang. I have been on the platform for about 6 months. I have about 5 or 7 teachers that I really like and for different reasons and for different needs. One I just love talking to and we rarely get a lesson done. Another is a strict grammarian and is very a particular about pronunciation. I would not have reached the level of Spanish I am at now without Baselang. The combination of motivation and lots of practice made it possible.

You can customize your learning and go at your own pace. Customer service is very helpful as well.

I have loved the connections with the teachers! I have really enjoyed finding several that are just as excited and dedicated to me learning Spanish as I am! I have at times had teachers that I wouldn't recommend or take again. Some were just not the right fit for me and a few were just not professional or paying attention. This is very rare and the overall experience has been excellent!

Great service for value. I have enjoyed Baselang for the past 2 years and have seen significant improvement in my Spanish fluency.

I love BaseLang. I have found 3 teachers I like that i study with on a regular basis. They are such nice women and have a lot of patience with me. The curriculum is all laid out and I can go as slow as I need. I appreciate the flexibility in scheduling and the one-on-one nature of it. Thank you Baselang team!

I just completed Gramerless 1 & Grammerless 2 (4 months) all with Lucila Caffaro as my instructor and she was amazing. Not only does she speak English very well, she has an amazing grasp on teaching Spanish. Daily, she was able to adapt not only her style of teaching but her methods as well so that I could understand. Couldn't of asked for a better experience.

After one year in BaseLang (and still going) I went from not being able to speak Spanish at all to being able to hold a semi-normal conversation with Spanish speakers in my neighborhood and at work in person (which was a goal for me). The journey is not all unicorns and rainbows. It takes a LOT of work in BaseLang and outside of BaseLang as well. (I recommend reading TONS.) You'll have good days and bad. You get what you put into it. BaseLang gives access to native speakers (which is essential) at a doable cost. In my opinion if you're serious about learning Spanish without moving to another country BaseLang is the way.
