Beware! If you don't fit perfectly in their ai box, you cannot open an account. We are retired and we travel and live full-time in our 5th Wheel. Because our cell phones are not in my name and their Ai pinged my location and it isn't where our house is, they refused to open an account. Security is one thing but many people these days travel full time and the fact that the girl wouldn't even put a manager on the phone so that I could discuss this made me realize we were probably better off not getting an account here. It's okay though, Morgan Stanley was more than pleased to open our account and the Customer Service we received was amazing!!!

2 weeks to set up an account and still waiting is crazy! Guess they didn’t like my review. They denied my application.

Worst bank ever! I’ve been banking with many banks and from my experience, CIT has the least inexperience reps! They need to be trained better and also the technical department sucks! They’re so behind with technology!!!

I opened a High Yield Savings. The delays showing funds and access to my funds, worried me and decided to withdraw. The withdrawal/return to my other institution, was quite difficult. Plenty of customer service calls. Finally, on the 13th day after opening, I received my funds back to my Chase account. Being an online only bank and with economic financial uncertainties, I will stick with the banks I know, in spite of appealing bonus 6 month interest rate.

I TRIED so hard to give them some money. The web site failed twice using Edge. Hung up with white window while trying to connect to bank to fund. Called support and they were fairly useless but she walked me thru the same exact failure. So she said to user another browser. That got me to 'account creation denied'. She could not help me anymore and could not create an account for me. It's like they don't want money. I don't get it. so I went to SoFi and had no problem creating an account and giving them lots of money. I called that number and nobody can help me create an account. So that did me no good.

I don't know why this bank has such a low rating on here. I've been banking with them (just an online savings account) for over 4 years and have had no issues. Their savings rate is among the highest in the nation and there's no holding period either. I haven't had a requirement to contact customer service so I wouldn't know from that experience like many other reviewers. But from my experience with banking with them, it's 5/5 for the highest savings rate.

If I could give a negative 10 stars I would! Horrible experience. I have been a customer for over 2 years and for the first time tried to move money to an external account. What a nightmare!!! Customer service is a joke.

Be cautious when applying with this institution. I’m genuinely concerned about having my personal information on file with them now. I recently applied for a high‑yield savings account and was denied, despite having an 835 credit score and a six‑figure income — and my wife earns the same. Given our financial profile, the denial makes no sense, and it raises red flags about how they handle applications and information. At this point, I’m uneasy about the data I shared with them.
