I ordered glasses 4 weeks ago
I ordered glasses 4 weeks ago. I have called numerous times only to be told my lenses were in and the lab would get them completed and sent asap. Every time I called I was told this exact thing. That was not the case. I made contact with a supervisor named Alex. He gave his word that he would ensure my glasses would be completed as he just contacted the lab and my glasses would be finished by the end of the week. I call today (end of week 4) and ask for Alex. I was told he would call me back. Instead, another associate called me back just as they were closing for the day only to tell me that the lab will be getting the lenses in soon and complete my glasses next week. That is the 3rd time I have been told that my lenses were being fabricated and my glasses would be sent next week. Once by a manager that didn't have the integrity or decency to call me back. I have been blatantly lied too with zero accountability. At this point in time, I believe I have been scammed!

As per your conversations with us it looked like your prescription was very high and caused a lot of difficulties to manufacture with our laboratory, for which we do apologize. Unfortunately we also contacted your optometrist who informed us that the prescription you provided to us was for your contacts and not eyeglasses. I was hesitant to trust CoolFrames…
I was hesitant to trust CoolFrames since their prices were so much lower than anywhere else, but I'm glad I did. I received my frames and lenses quickly and there were no surprises. Would highly recommend!

Frames were the best price and exactly…
Frames were the best price and exactly what my doctor's office had for 50% more! The process and communication from Cool Frames was great. I bought frames only, no prescription. I highly recommend them.

I have mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings. Did I get what I paid for, absolutely yes. I saved a ton of money, a little over 250.00 by going through my preferred Dr through insurance. So I went online to research and selected coolframes.com It was very easy to order if you have your sizes and prescription. However, in my experience the communication was sub-par. My order never changed online - just showed processing. Three Mondays (weeks) I was told "they are finishing up, and will be shipped out". So...bottom line, if you want to save money, and are not in a rush to get your new glasses, then this place is absolutely great. If you need them in a rush, look elsewhere. For reference, had I gotten my glasses from my preferred Dr....I would have had these in 5 days or less.
