Better than earplugs I used before-so,an improvement.But,not strong enough to eliminate seagull noises-I'd say that's a tricky one.

Dear Stephen: Insert them so that they (((seal ))) the ears. They'll not only block out seagull sounds, they'll easily block out the Pelicans as well. Mary-customer service

I live on a busy street, next to a traffic light and the noise from motorbikes; transit buses, trucks etc is quite loud and interrupts my sleep. I've tried all kinds of other earplugs, they keep the noise out but hurt my ears. I'm so happy I found the Mighty Earplugs: easy to mold; comfortable in the ear and block out the loud noises without impeding my ability to hear things that I need to hear, like fire alarms. I highly recommend them.

The service was excellent, timely delivery. Unfortunately my ears are very sensitive to air pressure and inserting or removing these plugs was very uncomfortable because pushing the plugs in or removing them did not equalize the pressure and was painful. I can't use them. The company should stress that in certain cases insertion or removal can be painful if you can't clear your ears due to congestion or other ear problems.

Dear Jurgen: We can't stress anything "painful", because we have never had a review in 19 years that said that our soft and moldable ear plugs created pain in the wearer. The issue has be an isolated one, particular to your own ears. Most sincerely Mary-customer service

These earplugs are a joke. They are no better than the clear ones I have gotten at Wal-Mart at a much better price. I will try to send them back for full refund.

Dear Kay: No, on the contrary, they are far from a JOKE! We have sent you a (REAL) ULTRA-HIGH BLOCKING EAR PLUG, but you obviously haven't figured out how to insert it. Kay, please follow these instructions: You must follow (exactly), the preparation and insertion directions below, and you will then see why almost all the testimonials on our website, and through Trustpilot are so positive. 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn’t matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push the ear plug FIRMLY, & FLATTEN it, (IN and AGAINST) your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL). IMPORTANT: If it doesn’t seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals; now listen; you’ll hear very little or most likely no sound at all. It even gets better each time you wear them. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. . Kay, we don't abandon our customers. They work great. Better than foam plugs. It takes a little working sometimes to get them sealed tight but they stay in place.
