I purchased a EGO string trimmer about 3 years ago. Started having problems after about 3 months. I contacted customer service because the batteries wouldn't hold a charge and would only power the trimmer for a few minutes. They suggested that I always unplug the charger when not in use and to also hold down the power button on the battery to reset it. I now constantly have to rest the battery and rarely am I able to finish before it runs out of power. One of the chargers stopped working completely. On a positive note, I also have hedge clippers but have little or no issues with it. Going back to gas powered for the string trimmer.

EGO SUCKS !!!! PLAIN & SIMPLE! I bought 1 of their leaf blowers . Worked great for about 2 seasons . Battery totally crapped out on me . Wouldn't last longer then 2 minutes . Mind u , I take the equipment inside every winter . EGO,will not replace batteries unless product is registered OR u have the receipt to verify purchase . Which I don't get why I need any of this . This is real simple. I have a battery of yours that's defective .....how about replacing it . I told EGO I'm done w them and their products and going stihl brand , gas powered next . Screw this battery operated junk . My drill and saw batteries ( Milwaukee) have lasted almost 10 years and that's while sitting in the garage all winter . EGO sucks, their warranties suck, customer service sucks!!

I've also had problems with EGO. Their customer service is terrible, their batteries fail, and they don't keep their word. They promised to send me a replacement battery in 2020 and it got lost in the mail. Over the past 2 years I have intermittently called and emailed, but now they are denying my request to fulfill their previous commitment, and they lie about my prior attempts to contact them.

I have had my Ego battery lawn mower for about 2 summers. After one summer the bag would not stay on because the connecting holes are made of plastic and got too big because they disintegrated. It keeps falling off even when it doesn't have hardly any grass and turn a corner. The mulch attachment just clogs it up so one is constantly cleaning it. The side shoot also clogs up and then it quits and has to be cleaned out. I still have an old Snapper which is gas and it has always cut wonderfully. We purchased it and it wasn't cheap, about $500. We thought we would like to get rid of using gas. I'd never buy another one and would like to get rid of this but can't bring myself to unload such a bad product on an unsuspecting person. It might start good for me but is not worth it. I go to the senior center and let everyone know not to buy one and tell their relatives the same.

I purchased a lawn mower and a backpack leaf blower. The battery with the leaf blower is completely defective and won't charge at all - no lights even come on. I contacted EGO on 7/10/22 to request a replacement. The battery was out of stock. It supposedly came back into stock on 7/18/22 and my replacement order was placed. It is now 7/29/22 and all I am told is to wait a little longer. No estimated ship date, no general timeframe for the order to be filled. Just told to wait. No escalation of the issue after 18+ days. An apology won't run my leaf blower! It can't possibly take this long to ship out if the battery was back in stock 11 days ago. HELP!

I wanted to switch from using petrol powered garden tools over to battery power. I researched all of the options and read plenty of reviews on reliability, pricing, warranty etc. I settled on EGO as a brand. The tools perform well. However, when they break down, you’re on your own. I have returned a battery, a battery charger and a hedge trimmer all under warranty. 4 months of waiting, phoning and being fobbed off by EGO and the dealer where I bought the equipment from, has really turned me off of the brand. Pay a bit more and go to Stihl. At least their customer service helps the customer

2 battery doesn’t charge. One just come out the box the other one used less than one year. Poor decide

Purchased a top end 21" self propelled ego mower (LM2156SP)XP from Lowes, used it for about 1.5 months, it stopped working. The blades would not engage. Took it back to Lowes for repair. They have to send it to another vendor for repair. They have had it over 4 weeks and counting. Current ETA is another week out. If you want to be able to cut your grass buy a Honda.
