Essay Grader helped us grade 450 papers for our science fair in under an 4 hours. It saved our judges so much time and the judges were able to provide advice on each student's scientific method and presentation.

The grading didn't have the nuance that I wanted it to have. It could be helpful to have the option to put an an example essay (or multiple) for different grade levels so that the grading AI has a standard to measure itself against.

Grades the first two essays fine. Purchased the upgraded version. Tried to grade and it was telling me it was not connecting to canvas, tried to connect to canvas again and it told me I was connected. So I tried to grade and it said not connected. A few hours later was fine. Grades an assignment and then tried to grade again and it would not pull up my students. Apparently this happens a lot because I got a pop up that said try again later. So in the time I have spent with the glitches I could have graded on my own

Hi Denise, We’re really sorry to hear about your experience. When Canvas integration first launched in March, there were definitely a few bumps—we’ve worked hard since then to improve it, and today it’s used successfully by thousands of teachers across the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. It is our most used integration after Google Classroom integration! We hope you give us another chance. We’d love the chance to make it right. Just reach out to us in the chat and we’ll be happy to set you up with a free yearly subscription as a thank you for giving us a try. Warmly, The EssayGrader Team

Far too generic. It needs to be able to also deal somewhat with content to be useful to me.

Hi William, We’re sorry to see your review. This allows the feedback to closely mirror how you evaluate student work. If you’d like help setting that up, just reach out to us in the chat - we’d be happy to walk you through it. We work hard to make EssayGrader’s feedback feel as real and authentic as possible. We’d love for you to give it another try. Thanks!

Easy to use, feedback is generally spot on, love that one can use ones own rubrics.
