1st of all, DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! We had a company truck loan (high interest rate) when it came time to trade that vehicle in, we could not for the life of us get a payoff, we were told they do it manually and would take 3-5 days to get it. How, you mean like with a calculator? With the technology we have at our fingertips and you cannot get me an immediate payoff amount? Okay that was a pain in the arse, and then to get them to release the title to the dealership, OMG what a joke!!!! After 30 days of being paid off we had to call and argue with a dip shite. Call back in 10 days the dip shite says, WHAT!!!! Give me the dang title already!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are the worst finance company of all finance companie, and I am pretty sure I will let Ritchie Bros know to never ever send me to you guys and they should not be sending anyone to you if they like doing business!!!!!!!

Terrible phone support, great local branch support. Expect massive hold times if you call First Citizens Bank. I spent forever on the phone only to deal with a representative named Martin who was completely useless. He tried to blame my phone carrier for a 2-step verification issue (even though the emails weren't coming through either), and then told me updating my phone number would lock me out of my account for 30 days. He was completely untrained and uncaring, hiding behind "I don't make the rules." I ultimately had to go to my local branch to get this fixed. The branch staff was excellent and helpful, but the corporate phone support is a disaster. FCB needs to properly train their phone reps.

9/22/2026 i have been a customer of yours for many years...i have recently received the poorest customer service of any business i have dealt with in my life..Ach wire fraud compromised my business account of many years with your company...understandably not any fault of First Citizens. However since this has happened you made the mistake of letting 2 bill payments go thru the account after a HOLD was placed on the account...therefore overdrawing my account. The payment that was overdrafted was a payment to your company First Citizens to another account of mine. You all announced that First Citizens would write me a check in the amount of that overdraft to place back in the old ON HOLD account so that i could deposit this check in order to bring this CLOSED ON HOLD account current...which makes absolutely no sense whatsover...I've waited for over 2 weeks to get this check which has never came...FIrst Citizens has even sent me a notice warning me that the account may be closed. So in the meantime i have a $2000.00 check floating around out there from FIrst Citizens that supposed to be applied toward a loan thru First Citizens which is meanwhile accumuilating interest...even though its a small amount of interest this loan would be paid off in its entirety if only i could get this ELUSIVE CHECK that no one at your bank seems to know where it might be. I have money tied up in this...and I've received the poorest service ever at this banking institution than i have anywhere in my life. I have spent hours of my valuable time on the phone with you all to only get the same answer...we dont know....When this is all over i will be removing my multiple business and personal accounts from your company and move them to another bank who appreciates my companies business and can provide answers to problems in a timely manner, this account blunder on your part has been going on for over a month now!

My father opened an account with BMO Bank (16th St., Lincoln, NE). I was working with someone to close it. After the bank became First Citizens Bank, no one at the branch has answered the phone, returned a voicemail and the email bounced back. The only silver lining is there might be an established bank branch in my area (Virginia) that might be able to help me.

After they bought my bank account without any notice, I could not access my funds, and the fact that they decided to do this switch over Labor Day weekend when no one could call on Monday or over the weekend is absolutely absurd. Consequently, people were left for up to three days without any of their money. I am currently in a foreign country with no access to my funds, and they sent my card to the United States, where I am not located. I called their customer support four times; the first time it was closed, the second time nobody answered and the call disconnected, and the third time the automated chatbot hung up on me when I said I was a newly acquired BMO customer. When I called the fourth time, the representative was rude and dismissive, and did not answer any of my questions or provide any assistance. She only helped me set up my account, for which the preset password was genuinely the most unsafe, generic password I have ever had generated for me. I do not trust these people with my money, especially since they restricted my access to it, and I do not even have a debit card. I told the representative that I was abroad and not in the United States, but she did not offer any help; therefore, even if I receive my debit card, I do not think I can actually use it because it will likely be locked. Do not ever bank with this institution or BMO because they can apparently seize your money with no notice.

I waited over one hour before I hung up the phone with nobody ever assisting me log into my account. I finally hung up! How did we get here in the Age of AI First Citizens Bank? Brian Wood 919-579-9175

This bank recently took over my BMO branch and it has been like going from a 4 star hotel to a cheap motel where the drug dealers and prostitutes hang out! The only choices in the ATM today was deposit or check balance no withdraw option! Hopefully the bank authorities will revoke their charter.

Horrible! BMO (whom I've have banked with for over 30 years) sold to FCB and now I can't transfer my money. Who decided to sell to this trash outfit? I'm betting they lose a lot of customers because of this debacle!!!
