Bait and Switch price practices; Beware

Is it a scam? No, not if you define a scam as someone who takes your money and never gives you anything. Are their business practices shady? 100% You CAN buy tickets through them but you WON'T get the advertised price listed in the results. I attempted to book a flight and at the end you get a booking request, NOT an actual booking with airline confirmation. This was my first red flag that I wouldn't get the price they were offering. Checking a few sites I did see others comment similar bait and switch pricing so decided NOT to wait until they contact me and reached out to them immediately. Already in the 10min it took they confirmed there was a booking issue and admitted that price was no longer available, but they could still get me booked - if only I was willing to pay an additional 90% higher for the ticket. 90% more. While I know flight pricing is dynamic, have you ever seen a price go up 90% in 10min? Nope, me either. I asked about this since while talking with their customer support I can refresh my results and see not 1, not 2, but more than a dozen different flight options (including the one I originally tried to book) all for that magically low price. Their answer? They have up update their site "manually". Come again? Yup, their CS told me that someone has to go in and *manually* change the price. So you're telling me that you publish a price and it takes someone going in and manually changing it? For 5000+ possible departures (US Domestic) per day and somehow factor in a near infinite potential combinations for return options so that they can quote a round trip price? Nope doesn't happen. Well, at least for an honest offer as in you could ever get that specific flight on those dates for that price - at best it's an "as low as" type price that it's for your actual days/times/airports type thing. So, in all, I ended up NOT booking through them. Their offered switched price was OK (a bit cheaper than the airline directly) but I had precious little faith that they would be around to help if any issues were encountered and I certainly didn't want to support them and their business practices. I think my 2* was being rather generous - I did give them a bit of credit since they do provide a booking service, but you absolutely won't get whatever deal they are promising you so ultimately cannot endorse them because they are KNOWINGLY trying to deceive you.

We Sincerely apologize that we did not exceed the standards and didn't met your expectations as sometimes the situation gets beyond our reach because of the sudden changes in the prices and policies governed by the airlines. I understand that this sound very frustrating and disappointing but we unfortunately can't do much about it as the prices and policies are governed by the airlines and they have full rights to withdraw any fares/policies at any given time under disclaimer section provided by them to the travel agencies. However it goes without saying that you would prefer your customer to discuss issues with you in person, but even an overly emotional online review might contain a bit of insight. Negative feedback can shine light on blind spots and be a wake-up call for you and your team.
