I called Happy Head and spoke to Francesca. My order was held up and I actually won’t get my RX for approximately 2 weeks. Francesca was able to help me and get it straightened out. She was professional, helpful, patient and just a wonderful person. In short, if it wasn’t for Francesca, I’m not sure my order would have been fixed. This formulation may work however, I will never get a chance to find out because I was only able to use this one time and NEVER will again! This makes your hair an oily mess. So much so that I was getting ready to go to church and after I applied it, I had to get back in the shower and wash my hair again it was so bad! I don’t understand how they can promote the type of product that makes your hair an oily mess, to women with thinning hair, who already have enough problem with little styling options in the first place! It is difficult enough to have thinning hair, let alone have to put a product on it, that makes your hair actually look much more thin and sparse. I do NOT recommend this product on any level. This product is a disservice to women with thinning hair. They need to go back to the drawing board and actually put together a hair growth product that enhances styling options, as well as regrow hair.

I was very hopeful to try the serum for women but the odor is unbearable. The odor is extremely strong and smells like a skunk. It’s important for people to know that the odor in pungent as is it something I didn’t consider prior to the purchase.

Hi there! We're sorry to hear that, we do have several medications available in topical form, unfortunately some of the medications themselves (such as Spironolactone) do have an odor. I've been a Happy Head customer for three months. The first month I received my formula, it smelled really terrible- like sulfur. The mailman handed it to me, and remarked on how bad it smelled, even through the packaging! I just thought that it was normal, so I used it for that month, and apologized to family and friend's for how bad I smelled. Then the next month, the formula came and it smelled amazing. Just like peppermints. I loved using it. It was refreshing. I assumed that the first formula was just a bad batch. I just received my third formula a few days ago. Once again, I could smell the terrible sulfur smell through the package, and my heart dropped. There is no peppermint smell whatsoever, just sulfur. I contacted customer support, and they basically told me they couldn't help me, and I would have to use this terrible, stinky product for this month, and then next month ask the dermatologist for an oral medicine. Now that I know that it's possible for this product NOT to smell like the worst thing ever, why would I want to continue using this terrible formula? They won't even fix it, even though they claim they will on their website. And the dermatologist's contact info is suspiciously hard to find. And you definitely aren't getting your money back if you have an allergic reaction, or don't like the formula. I just have to throw this away, and cancel my subscription, I guess.

We use peppermint oil in the base of our Women's Formula since Spironolactone has a strong smell, and Finasteride is a Category X drug for women. We, unfortunately, can't remove the smell from the formula without removing the Spironolactone entirely.
