Eh...
I did a telehealth appointment for a sinus infection. I filled in the form and about 8-10 hours later my medicines were sent to my pharmacy. I was told my sinus infection was due to a virus and given several allergy meds to pick up from my pharmacy. Five days later I was in the ER having to get antibiotics through an IV because my infection was actually a bacterial one and a severe one at that. So my first and only experience so far hasn’t been great. It’s been two weeks and there’s been no promised follow up the company advertises. However, I do think the company has merit and is worth looking into.

Hi Joie- thanks for reaching out and providing your feedback. We hope you are feeling better. The CDC has strict guidelines on when antibiotics should be initiated. 98% of rhinosinusitis cases are viral, and antibiotics are not guaranteed to help even if the causative agent is bacterial. In general, watchful waiting is an appropriate recommendation. If you have not already done so, please write to us at app.helloalpha.com/messages and your Alpha Provider will be able to further assist you.
