Hi Stacey, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear how frustrating this has felt, especially after being with June for such a long time.
We want to clarify a few things for transparency. All charges, including membership fees, maintenance responsibility, access devices, and security related changes, are outlined in the lease that all residents sign before moving in. For shared homes, residents are also responsible for how the apartment is used and for coordinating changes such as adding personal locks, which is why building access codes and lock modifications must follow specific procedures for safety and compliance.
Regarding maintenance, our teams respond based on the type of issue and the responsibility defined in the lease. Issues such as normal wear and tear are handled by June, while blockages, misuse, or tenant caused issues may result in a charge, which is standard across managed properties.
We also take reports of theft and safety seriously. In shared homes, these situations are handled through our internal resolution process, which often requires details from all involved residents before further action can be taken.
We understand that living in a shared apartment can sometimes feel stressful, especially when issues stack up. Since you are still a resident, our team remains available to review any open concerns and help work toward solutions.
