We also reviewed the communications associated with your account and were unable to locate any message from our company stating that your business would be fined “$500 per day” if you did not file through our link. That statement does not reflect our renewal communications and may have been conflated with communications from another company.
Business Filing is an independent professional filing service that assists business owners with annual reports, renewals, document preparation, reminder services, and ongoing business support. We are not affiliated with any government agency, and our communications, website disclosures, service fees, and renewal terms are clearly identified throughout our materials. Business owners are always free to file directly with their state on their own if they prefer.
Like many professional service providers, we charge service fees for the convenience, support, processing, reminders, and filing assistance we provide. Some business owners choose to use those services, while others prefer to file independently, and we respect both choices.
When you contacted our customer support team in January requesting cancellation of your renewal services, your subscription was canceled promptly by our representative as requested.
