I've ordered several computers from Powermax over the last four years and they have been wonderful each time. I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

Lets face it- when it comes to computers you get what you pay for. That means buying a used Mac means you're probably asking for it....but not in this case. I ordered a used imac from Powermax and the one they sent me had a bad GPU. No problem, they took it back at no charge to me and sent me another one that works just fine. Their customer service people are very professional and on the ball. I used to be untrusting and wary about purchasing big ticket items- used and on the internet, but not anymore. If you need any used Apple products and don't have the finances to go all out brand new I highly recommend using power max. I'll be using them again in the future.

Overall I'm okay with the purchase, but I have an issue with with FireWire ports. They don't work. I have several FireWire devices I would like to use and I can't. They don't mount and from a look at the software diagnostics, the Two FireWire ports don't even display info telling me either it is a software issue or the FireWire Ports aren't connected. Two of the devices I use are external drives that are both FireWire and USB capable so those issues have been resolved, but other devices are FireWire only which I can't use on this iMac G5. I've used Apple computers and laptops of 29 years and this is the first time I've experienced what I would term as somewhat satisfaction in a product.

I've been a Mac user since 1984, and a PowerMax customer as long as they have been around. I've never been disappointed, by PowerMax, by their retail operations, or by their hardware products. They are the only company I will buy used Apple equipment from; they have serious hardware chops, having been around so long. I recommend them to family, most of whom I provide IT support for, so I'd really pay for bad decisions. They can't actually be perfect, but I haven't found a flaw.

I have purchased 3 refurbished G5 Imacs with the OS Tiger/OS 9 operating system from PowerMax in the past 5 years. Being an old guy with a small design & printing company and 25 years worth of customer art and business files that won't work on the Intel Macs, they have been a lifesaver. Just bought another one when I started having some issues with Kernal panics... Even though the Imac wasn't in their warranty I have been able to call and talk to their tech rep Dennis on several occasions.... Since I haven't received a bill I'm assuming it was at no charge.... don't think Apple would do that for me... even though I bought one of the 1st Mac Lisa's over 30 years ago. Thank You PowerMax
