Double Charging Scam! Avoid This Hotel! Be extremely cautious using your credit card here. If you book through a third-party app, the front desk staff, none of whom wear name tags, may cancel your original reservation without consent and rebook you directly through the hotel, resulting in a double charge. That’s exactly what happened to us. The woman at check-in charged us directly through the hotel, despite our prepaid booking. When we returned to resolve it, the staff refused to provide a proper invoice for the duplicate charge, a violation of consumer protection laws, and literally hid in the back office, claiming there was nothing they could do. We’ve contacted Super to pursue a refund, but the hotel's behavior was shady at best and deceptive at worst. We will not be staying at any Red Roof property again.

I had the worst experience ever stayed at the red roof in while waiting to move into my apartment was waiting for the inspection to be done so me and a friend rented a room at the red roof inn which later became the decision I ever made I got ripped off twice while staying there the staff are rude the manager is on a power trip as she needs to be removed as manager she is rude spiteful and just down right hateful she has let her position go to her head she is on a power trip and wants control at all times she is very unprofessional I've never seen anyone in a management position act and treat people the way she does I had charged two rooms to my debit card my room and a room for a friend and I paid 2 deposits on both rooms my friend I had rented the other room for checked out on time and he had t really spent any time in the room he was down talking to me and my roommate I'm also her caregiver she was going thru radiation treatments for stage 4 breast cancer we had paid to stay over another night the day went by fine but around 6pm 7 hours after my other friend checked out of his room I get a phone call in my room from the front desk telling me I needed to get my things together and leave I couldn't stay after paying for the room earlier nothing was said then but 4 hours later I'm told to leave and the reason was because the said they found cigarette ashes in the room that the person I rented the room for had smoked in the room which I know is a lie. The ashes weren't from him I know this because he doesn't smoke never had but I was told to leave and not allowed back on property I was for ed to stay outside all night because they refused to refund my deposit on either room or refund the money I paid for the room they said they were keeping my deposits I spent the night outside I had no place to go and they had all my money cause I live in disability so my income is limited I have been fighting with the red roof over my refunds since May 16th the manager has only talked to me once she told me she would refund my money but they had an issue returning the funds because I had reported my card stolen because it came up missing at the motel she said she couldn't return the money because the hey needed the original card she told me to call her when I got the situation corrected I called my bank and got it fixed then tried to call her but was told she was in a meeting I told the clerk I just talked to manager 10 min prior she told me to call and it was about my deposit she told me I wasn't getting my deposit back and to stop calling I have rea6the name of the owner the boss over the manager they are refusing to give me the name I've yet to talk to the manager since May 26th she won't answer my calls her clerk always answered and always says she's busy or unavailable I've yet to receive my deposits she straight lied to my face she only told me she would refund my money to get to move from out in front of motel cause that's the only time she talked to me when she came out and asked me to move because it looked bad me I'm front of the motel when other guests were arriving it looked bad she said she would refund my money but she had no intention of doing that she just wanted us to move away from the building we spent 4 days sleeping.outside and every day I called about the refunds and I have not been allowed to talk to her she has ignored me and I've not gotten any refunds they stole my money basically and the management refused to act like an adult and handle the situation as an adult instead has her clerk do her dirty work and the manager lied to me and treated me like I was beneath her when she did talk to me she talked down to me and tried to belittle me she doesn't deserve the position of management and I will never recommend the red roof inn to anyone nor will I ever stay in one it was a complete night mare I did nothing wrong but she told the HR I was the one who smoked in the room and I never set foot in the room and my friend doesn't smoke so if they found ashes it means whomever cleaned the room wasn't very good at her job because that shows the room wasn't very clean when he checked in and it took them from 11am till 6 pm to tell me I had to leave 3 hours after housekeeping had left why did they wait so long to tell me this so late in the day I couldn't even call to get help everything closed and the manager refused to talk to me then also she was in her office wouldn't come out I asked to tell to her several times no was just told no and to leave. I had done nothing wrong but charge the rooms to my card cause they don't take cash had to have a card so I used mine and they kept my money how is that even right I got told to leave for no reason and they kept my money and I did nothing wrong and have been treated badly for no reason

Good afternoon, I made a reservation for two nights for Monday night and Tuesday night, June 23rd and June 24th, 2025. We were scheduled to check out at 11 am on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11 am. We reserved a handicapped accessible room. When we arrived, Sai- the receptionist, told me the Handicapped accessible room was not available, and they could offer us another room. he gave us the key to look at the other room to see if it was a room we could use. As I returned to my car to drive around to look at the replacement room, there were some rocks in the parking lot, and I stepped on one of the rocks and my left ankle rolled and I fell face forward and rolled and fell on the ground behind my car. I had to crawl over the back of my car and use the bumper to brace myself and get up. After several tries, I was able to get up. I scaped both knees, my right elbow, and injured my left ankle. When we went to the room, the extremely strong smell of smoke begins to aggravate my asthma. The desk chair was sold old and warn, it looks as if it was a chair retrieved from the garbage. All of the material on the desk chair was warn away, and it basically just foam cushion that was exposed. The vents on the front wall were rusted out and peeling. The bathtub was a regular tub and not a low step in accessible shower with grab bars. It was not a room we would be able to use. We returned to the front desk to inform Sai we would not be able to accept the room. AS the evening went on, my ankle became more and more painful. I will have to go to Urgent Care or the ER to have it checked out.

Bunch of scamming folks stealing money from Americans.

I made a reservation back in November for 2 nights that me and my family took off work to travel to York pa. Now 2 weeks before our travel….we are called by the hotel to tell us our reservations were cancelled by them. Doesn’t matter what business you are in that’s horrible customer service and no way to run a business. I contacted their customer care line to try and resolve this. The response I get is they would start a formal complaint and the outcome would be an apology from the hotel. Doesn’t matter that my reservation was put n 6 months ago and I’m now having to find a different hotel at the last minute farther away from the venue we paid to attend. Also we have others staying at this red roof so we can car pool to and back from the event. I will make it my mission to ensure everyone knows how little red roof inn cares about their customers or their reputation

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Don’t file complaints of the manager will kick you out and call police as that just happened to me. Reserved room not available. Door super hard to open. Toilet leaks when water was turned on. No garbage can. Stained linens. Second room. Shower drain due to low points in pan area. Shower leaks water into room. Cockroach was on nightstand by bed. Night staff came in room 2am. Phantom maintenance work needed randomly in room with no notice they were coming.

Red Carpet Inn Philadelphia Airport - PHL Airport is a site fraudulently advertising shuttles to the airport "Monday to Sunday - 24 hours." I parked March 25-31, 2025. I arrived at 8:50am (9:00am reservation) and was informed that the shuttle service did not start until 9:30. I found the manager and he spoke in Indian to the driver who then opened the back of the van. He pointed to my suitcase then back of van 5 times - he refused to pick up my suitcase so I picked it up and placed it in the van myself. Then I sat on the first bench that has room for 3 people; there were no other people for the shuttle. He kept on telling me I had to move to the back bench. I am disabled and the narrow row is hard for me - I had my service dog with me. On March 31st I arrived at Philadelphia airport terminal after 10pm and called the hotel. I was told there was no shuttle service because the driver called in sick. I was forced to take a cab. The hotel has refused to reimburse the $20 cab ride. Despite my leaving a message when I picked up the car and 3 messages via phone for the manager - he never returned my call. This is fraudulent advertising “Operating Hours Monday to Sunday - 24 hours”
