Larry was our loan officer. He gets a 5 star review from us. Going through this whole reverse mortgage process from beginning to end was very stressful at times. I had a million questions for Larry and he took the time to answer and explain every question with an explanation as well. I would recommend him 100%

At 65, applying for a reverse mortgage was one of the few “firsts” left in life. I did some research which quickly dispelled my previous beliefs about this product. The options available are a remarkable resource for homeowners with equity and good credit. The process is much less intrusive than applying for a traditional mortgage. After reaching a thorough understanding of the products available, I chose Reverse Mortgage Funding based on my conversation with the original representative, Arlene. I was then introduced to Ed Badrak who came to my house to begin the application process. Although I have had many mortgages, construction loans, and lines of credit, this was completely different. I had built in reservations which needed to be assuaged before moving forward. I asked and received answers to countless questions from the beginning through to closing. I was impressed with Mr. Badrak’s knowledge of the products available, his ability to fully explain the entire process to a first time client, and his total focus on what would be best for my situation. The process began and this is where he really impressed me by providing valuable advice based on his many years of experience in the field. From how to prepare for a FHA appraisal, to encouraging me to accept one that was slightly below what I expected, based on his current knowledge of the market and what other clients were experiencing. The process proceeded exactly as predicted even when Mr. Badrak was out of town by providing me with access to his remarkable assistant, Traci Eshelman. The loan closed on time as predicted. It is exactly what I need at this time in my life with this property. From beginning to end, Mr. Badrak and his team exceeded my expectations in every respect. I wholeheartedly recommend Ed and his team to manage the entire process of obtaining a reverse mortgage, line of credit.

My wife and I put much thought and research into whether a reverse mortgage was the right thing to do at this time in our life. Our research led us to RMF and ultimately to Ed Badrack, our loan officer. What a pleasure it has been to go through the process. Ed made the experience as pain free as possible and it was completed it a timely manner. My only complaint, which had nothing to do with Ed, what’s the underwriting experience. There were several requests for additional documentation, which I could easily have provided upfront. It was an irritation, but did not detract from the overall positive experience. We were really unsure about doing this type of loan but Larry helped us through it and even though it seemed to take a long time, because of all the paper work and the need for looking up files for them. But Larry kept us informed all along the way and assured us we were doing things correctly! Thanks Larry for all your help!

A very unfortunate turn of events for our situation, despite repeated assurances from Mark Macarow that our loan was fine; we did our counseling, secured the appraisal in a timely manner only to learn after two months of waiting that our loan was not going to be approved. The entire process leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth - holding us hostage for 60+ days, while nothing changed from the first day of application, then to discover our reverse mortgage would not be approved is so frustrating and downright wrong from a customer service perspective.

Phillip is very professional and worked hard on solving issues that we had to address, which was do to my limited income. It was a long haul but finally reached the finish line.
