I ordered 8 plants from this company and received 3. They issued a "gift certificate" which is a moot point as they have nothing I need or want apparently. It took some insults to get my refund which takes over a week. Hopefully that is not out of stock or on backorder. Buyer beware.

BUYER BEWARE!! Ordered a very special hibiscus from them in February. Got the plant in April, planted it immediately and watered sufficiently. One month after planting no sign of life. Contacted them via email. Heard nothing. Contacted them three more times via email and kept getting the runaround about my plant. I sent pictures showing them no sign of life and did what they asked, which was cut the branches to find green, no sign of green. Asked for a refund. The customer service rep said they would issue a refund. It’s now been almost 2 months and I still have no refund! Needless to say, I will never do business with this company again!

Worst online plant merchant ever. Will never purchase again. Ordered over $300 worth of plants which were in stock in March 2026. Plants were ALL backordered. 4 plants would not come until 2027. Online account info was never accurate. Shipping was always delayed. Had my credit card issue a dispute and total refund, which they did. Customer service was call center possibly in India (difficult to understand and was neither kind nor helpful). No refund from the company was issued.

I was going to come blast them with a bad review because I'm trying to get on to look at my order and they've mess up their website to where there's so much validation I can't even get on but the reason I'm getting on is to check on a replacement order which they happily did and my embarrassment the original roses are budding out well two out of three anyway. so this is an old established not great way to buy plants but they are reliable and have good customer service and a pretty bad website. There are better roses though The ones I'm buying from another purely rose seller were smaller root balls because I paid for the extra big ones from this seller but they are leaving out much better. I've used this before and they're kind of cruddy and small but a wide variety of plants and lots of coupons. so I'm not sure when they'll arrive And I think I'm done using their website pretty much for good but you can kind of rely on them.

I ordered 3 items -$153.00 total. I heard the negative reviews after and requested a refund from customer service. They stated since 1 of the 3 items was processed, but not shipped, the order can’t be cancelled. I couldn’t understand why a shipment not sent could not be cancelled!! They show healthy looking plants, potted on their site but are actually a “bait and switch “ SCAM. Do not do business with!!!

If I could give Spring Hill Nurseries a zero star rating I would. I ordered 2 rose plants over 10 weeks ago to plant in memory of my mom who passed that week. They took my $97 and I got a confirmation email saying they would be shipped in time to plant in the spring. As of today, May 15, I had heard nothing. I called to have them tell me there is a delay and I can expect the order in January or February of 2027! Unbelievable! I didn't receive any contact from them to let me know and to give me the option to cancel. I had to do the research. The outrageous part is that they say all over their site that they ship items based on planting season. January in Chicago is NOT planting season. They offered me a $20 credit to shop with them in the future. I now have nothing to memorialize my mom this summer. There is no way I would give them my business and I will be spreading the word.

Some of the plants they've sent in the past arrived dead. This year, they keep delaying the shipment of my plants even though they have charged me in full on the date of ordering. They claim they are updating their software and can't alter or cancel the order. I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. I recommend against doing business with this company.

I ordered a hardy hibiscus. I have had great success growing them in the past. The plant arrived and was promptly planted. It has not grown at all. It was planted a month ago. I have written 3 emails and called customer service. My emails have not been answered. After being on hold quite sometime was told no customer service agent available. Do NOT waste your money!
