Stair WarehouseReviews of stairwarehouse.com

I ordered each size needed for each tread, but they were not individually cut. We had to cut each from 14 and 15 ft pieces. Made it a little more difficult and time consuming for the home project.

The Garage Stair Railing is excellent once it is installed. The installation video is helpful but omits many helpful aspects of installing the railing. When the original flat mounting plates need to be removed in order to connect the L brackets to the railing, it is virtually impossible to rotate the L brackets into the desired position since the set screw tension cannot be adjusted when using an allen wrench to do. I had to put the rail in a vise to be able to turn the tension screw. There were no written installation instructions enclosed in the box with the rail. This caused me to watch the video about a dozen times to try and detect what had been omitted in the presentation. The suggestion that a skilled professional could perform the installation in approximately twenty minutes is absolutely incorrect. The video does not explain what size drill bit should be used for the pilot holes, or does it explain which of the two different sets of the 4" screws should be used. I chose to use the ones with more threading on the shaft of the screw. I believe that the other screws are probably stronger and would be less likely to breakoff. Most of the screws were loose in the box when I opened it and that included each type of screw. Once I had the railing installed the Garage Stair Railing is an excellent product and is very useful. The only reason that I did not give this product an exceptional five star rating was due to the reasons that I listed above.

Ordering was good and the delivery was fast and flawless. But the baluster I ordered are thinner than I thought they should be. Flimsy.

The paper template is not accurate enough to get perfect alignment with the hand rail. The sketch of the the nut access hole does not show the depth necessary to clear the nut. A plastic template should be grsigned and sold as an accessory to make it easy to drill the holes perpendicular to the surface of the part. These fixtures could be manufactured with 3D printing. These 3D fixtures should be available for each size of handrail parts.

Received two pieces that were damaged. They took care of this quickly and with no difficulties. Thank you. My thought is if the shipping packaging was better this might not have happened.

My order hasen't shipped yet.

Problem was the second delivery. Materials on a pallet so long the shipper couldn’t deal with it. Quality was good but pulling an 8ft pallet off a liftgate is bullshit.

Since I have been asked twice for a review of a product that has a super long delivery time, I can’t say much about the quality of the stair treads since I will be waiting several more weeks for them to arrive.
