Trying to initiate a return and have not received an email response as directed. Very frustrated and makes me hesitant to purchase in the future. Update 2/5/2026: After posting a 1/5 rating I received 2 contacts from Sunlighten in the same day. Return was initiated. Hopefully no further issues. Will update if needed. I own a mpulse sauna and I love it. I received the red light mask as gift for Christmas. I found it very heavy to wear and consequently requested a return. I’ve had other red light masks that were much lighter. Since I had a positive experience with the sauna, I anticipated the same with the mask. I liked the wire free controller and options but it felt claustrophobic.

As someone who is deeply interested in wellness products, I tend to do a lot of due diligence before making a major purchase. My interest in Sunlighten started when I began researching infrared saunas for their potential benefits around detoxification and increasing BDNF as part of a broader longevity and brain-health routine. My experience with the sales process was refreshingly honest. The salesperson I worked with wasn’t able to answer every science-specific question I had about infrared exposure and physiological mechanisms, but he was transparent about that. He even mentioned that no one had asked questions at that level of depth before, which I appreciated. Rather than deflecting, he engaged in a thoughtful, personable conversation and was extremely helpful when it came to logistics, sizing, delivery, and setup details. That went a long way in building trust. I ultimately chose the mPulse model, and I’m very happy with the decision. The build quality is excellent—solid materials, well-constructed panels, and a clear sense that this is a premium product designed to last. It feels sturdy and thoughtfully engineered, not flimsy or mass-produced. One thing worth noting is heat-up time. It does take longer than I initially hoped to get beyond about 130°F. That said, with infrared saunas, you don’t actually need extremely high ambient temperatures to receive benefits, since the infrared waves work differently than traditional saunas. Reaching temperatures above 145°F is possible, but it takes several hours of heating—and realistically, that’s true of most infrared saunas on the market. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of depending on your expectations. Overall, I trust Sunlighten as a company. They’re family-owned, American-made, and clearly committed to quality rather than cutting corners. If you’re someone who values wellness, longevity, and investing in products that are built with intention, the mPulse is a fantastic option and one I feel confident recommending.
