Saluti!

We terminated service today (August 25,2022) with Viasat after 6 years. Termination experience is horrible. I called them today requesting service to be cancelled immediately. They said that since I am calling after the billing cycle has ended that I would have to pay for another month. You pay for service for the month ahead not for the month that you have already used. So I am paid up for service through Sept. 15, 2022. They are making me pay for another month of service starting Sept. 15 going through Oct. 15 that I don't need. My guess is that they realize that they are doomed to fail regarding the vastly superior competition that they are up against that they are going to soak whatever penney they can get out of customers that are heading out the door.

So it took them 5 interviews and six weeks, just to decide that my experience is not enough to work at Viasat. What a stupid staff. I hope they will sustain their 1 star rating.

This is my second review. I ran out of GBs and tried to purchase 10GB more time. My 1st and 2nd attempts were refused because of an undisclosed error. However, on my 3rd attempt, I was successful, but when I checked my GB account I had been charged for all 3 attempts. As my account renews automatically on July 19, any excess GBs are null and void after that date. There's no way I would use 30 GBs in just 5 days. When I tried to cancel 20 GBs I was informed that once added GBs could not be removed and that MAYBE I'd get a $20.00 rebate on my next billing cycle. This RIPPED IT for me. After extensive searching, I discovered that "T-Mobile" has 5G services in my area for only $60.00 per month including "Hot Spot." AND they will pay up to $500.00 cancellation fee to my existing provider. I ordered the system on expedited mail and received it today. I immediately canceled my Viasat account prior to 19 July so I wouldn't be charged for another month.. VIASAT REALLY SUCKS AND IF YOU USE THEIR SERVICE YOU'RE GONNA BE REALLY SORRY........ Don't say you weren't WARNED. I was paying over $220.00 per month and would have had to pay a $300.00 cancelation fee plus other expenses to get the Viasat equipment off my roof and shipped back to them.. T-Mobile saved my ass.

One word….TERRIBLE! I spent 2 hours on the phone regarding our internet service…we were out of the country & our house cameras were all off line. After emailing others with Viasat service it was apparent that Viasat did something with “turning off extenders” causing our service to go offline. Here is the crazy part…their manager (Yerlin) stated company policy is they will NOT provide a 3 week credit since we did not call them until we were BACK stateside….talking to her was like talking to a robot that simply does not care. Think about this, our bill is roughly $120 per month yet she quoted the company policy repeatedly with not a care about keeping a customer…she does not mind and we surely don’t matter….she said we only credit your bill from the time you call, incredibly bad service where a manager apparently has NO authority to do the right thing…shameful. Avoid this company is my advice to you.
