We paid for a baby sitter on 430 on Saturday night. At 230 we received a text she would not be able to make it. The next day we saw that care had taken our payment. We contacted them and they said they would not refund and we would have to get it from the sitter. We contacted her and she said she wouldn't refund it and we need to get it from care.com. So we are out our money and care.com does not care!

This company is the worst. I had hired a sitter who last minute cancelled on me. The next day I was charged fr the complete booking. I contacted care.com and they told me there was nothing they could do, and to contact the sitter directly to be reimbursed, which I did, and she’s no longer responding to me. I’m out $118 for a service I didn’t even receive, and they refuse to help, but they’ll gladly take my money AND the sitters. On top of all the fees, they skim an additional 10% from the sitter. I’m sorry, but what exactly am I paying for?

Terrible. I've been charged over $100 and I cannot even use their service...save your money!!!!! Run away!!!!!

I had to pay for a month when I was unsure if I would find someone right for me. And then it asks if I would want to pay extra for background checks?! I thought that was all included. What exactly am I paying for? Just to view applications and contact people? I use Rover for dog sitting and prefer their business model so much more!

This site let me sign up and took my money after entering my information, them knowing my area doesn't have any house keepers registered with them for my area. There should be a message showing that there are no available house keepers in your area at the moment. We can email you once they become available then start a subscription.

The website states that you can post a position with a FREE Basic Membership. What they do NOT tell you up front is that if someone wants to apply for the position, you cannot communicate with them unless you upgrade to the PAID premium plan. You learn this information only AFTER someone replies and wants to take the job. So now, I have a posted job, people who want to apply, but I have to shell out $$$ to get their contact info. This is a very sneaky way to do business. Had I known this up front, I would have saved myself some time.

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. This was some of the worst service I have ever received. Firstly, they make you pay to be able to message anyone on their site - which is, of course, required in order to be able to respond to job postings. Then, when you go to pay to be able to do so, they offer you a '1-month', '3-month' or '6-month' subscription. I paid for 1-month, however ended up being charged for 2 months because in the fine print it says your membership will 'automatically renew' even if you only select a 1-month membership. They don't issue any kind of warning in advance of the automatic renewal, you'll just see the charge show up on your credit card like I did. In the end, even after paying 2 months worth of subscription fees to be able to reach out to postings to try to find a job, I reached out to 11 different families over the course of 2 weeks and got only 1 single response - which didn't even result in a job. I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this site and their service, and I am pretty convinced the entire thing is a scam just to force users to pay subscription fees to be able to utilize the messaging service to message postings, which I'm almost positive are not legitimate and likely created by Care.com employees to make it look like there are more opportunities on their platform than there actually are. DO NOT pay for a subscription through this company, it is a huge waste of money.
