Legal Shield IDT notified me of a potential issue on my credit report, that someone opened a BOA account and the IDT investagator contacted BOA and spent over an hour working with me and BOA's fraud department until resolved.

I was expertly helped with a situation where a major electronics store literally put my account in someone else's name. I mean, I couldn't use my own account because my name was no longer on it, but a total stranger had control of it and the store wouldn't tell me anything because they didn't want to violate his privacy. The investigator reached out to the store's corporate office's fraud department. Needless to say, that stranger is not in control of my account. The investigator also gave me steps to take to protect myself in the event of that stranger using the information that store gave him. I do not have to worry now.

This is my story. ID Shield contacted me to let me know that someone had opened up two credit cards in my name, having caught this activity as fast as they did, and helping me through all fraud paperwork, I was able to stop this crime very fast. Without ID Shield my credit would be all but gone by now. There team of employees are wonderful to work with, they are very knowledgeable, and very helpful in getting my issue resolved in a very timely fashion.

I never thought I'd need help with protecting my identity. As a Gen-X'er I grew up pre-internet, MS-DOS programs, AOL online discs with that horrendous electronic dial up sounds. I normally don’t do reviews, but this experience deserves one for sure! Unfortunately, these days we live in a world where you and your personal information needs to be protected. Let’s just say I’m so glad I had this service in place when I woke up to a an alert that my information was used to try to open an account with my credentials. It took one phone and me speaking with two of the most helpful, representatives from ID Shield they literally held my hand every step of the way, they even called the company in question on a conference call, and assisted me with all the steps I needed to take to make sure something like this would not happen again in the future. I also wanted to say this is just not a monitor service they offer quite a few member perks. You might not think this could ever happen to you … but in today’s world just never know. I can’t thank this company and the reps enough, I’m able to sleep with peace of mind.
