PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.
PowerBlock (powerblock.com) has 384 customer reviews on Folks Told, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Great communication and stellar shipping. Everything was well packaged and arrived without any issues. Tracking numbers were provided and I had the dumbells in less than a week. Instructions on the dumbell stand made assembly easy. The dumbells themselves are great and look stylish in my gym.

I have been using the classic Powerblock dumbbells for years and they are not only comfortable to grip to use but totally compact. If you're the type that has to throw your dumbbells on the ground when training you probably don't want to do that with this product. The 90 lb set with a good bench gives you access to 90% of the movements that you have in the gym. I highly recommend.

The PowerBlock U90 dumbbell set is by far the best piece of workout equipment I have ever invested in. I use it daily. It is a solidly built, quality product, that you will get a lifetime of use out of. I highly recommend it!

I own a pair of Powerblock Elite 90's stages 1 and 2. These Dumbbells are amazing. For me they have changed the way I workout. Previously when using plate loaded Olympic Dumbbells I could not vary the weight very much as workouts would take too long. Now I can properly warm up and take smaller increments and even try a weight that may be too heavy without having to worry about the time impact. This has lead to much better workouts. The other thing I have to say is that the other great thing about these Dumbbells is the width. They are not very wide so exercises like curls, reverse curls, bench, overhead press all have a more natural feeling motion as opposed to using wider Dumbbells.

Get over any worry about the seeming initial high cost of dumbbells: These goods are 100% worth it. I ordered mine online, from a third party, and while the order was completed at last with no issues, Powerblock directly fielded a reply to some concerns and delays which did occur during the transaction with the third party seller. That is a major plus. The price is in line with the fact one is buying something which is unique and makes the workouts more efficient and saves space. I love the product greatly and all is suburb with the items I bought. I had to write and tell Powerblock how much I was pleased with their Sport 9.0 (90 lb per hand adjustable dumbbell line) models and here is some of what I wrote to them: "I do have the Ironmaster kettlebells and Super Bench with add ons. I love those very much and even got a second set of their kettlebells. I did not want to get their dumbells since it seemed too slow to change poundages.I was using normal dumbells for a long time. I am so glad I got yours at last! Wow. I was put off, and hence did not by any adjustable set from any maker, for a few years by comments I now find were unfounded. Some say you could not use fatgrips with Powerblocks. Some said it was like having your hand in a cage when lifting. Well, the Sport 9.0 fit the fatgrips and there is no restriction. In fact I think the Powerblocks feel better! I liken them in part to some Ishi Sashi (Stone Padlocks) style dumbells, yet with the bonus of being adjustable. Powerblocks are super with no real downside. I adore my purchase! I am thrilled to have gotten these and I thank you guys for making such an inventive project. I can put it this way: If Leonardo da Vinci had made dumbells, he would have made Powerblock! " I am more then happy with the item. The PRICE is fair for what you get and I will enjoy the benefit from this workout equipment for decades to come. I wish I had gotten mine set about five years sooner. These are the dumbbells I will be using from now on. Thank you Powerblock!

Great product and swift delivery. I like how easy they are to adjust as well as how they feel. Best adjustable dumbbells out there.
