PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

Not the right size for me, so I had to return them. Very expensive "trial" to have to pay for shipping both ways.

I traded elite 90 set for the urethane 125. Here are my impressions 1. Comparing even the u-90 set to elite 90 in terms of size, the elite is more compact. 2. The grip on urethane is fatter than elite, makes it harder to hold 3. In the u125 set, the jump after 90 is straight to 102 pounds, that's an increase of 12 pounds per dumbbell , and not the 5 pound increment. 12 pound per hand is a lot of weight to adjust. 4.In your website, when I select home products, why do I see expansion kits till 175 pounds, when clearly u125 is not expandable. 175 pounds expansion should only be shown under commercial tab. Later in fine prints, you do mention that 175 is only for commercial serious, but many like me might miss the fact. Bottom line is I feel it was not worth for me to trade my elite 90 set for u125. Because of the 12 pound increment after 90 pounds, I don't see myself using any weights more than 90 pounds in near future

Powerblocks are great. I got the straight bar to do even more. It has many advantages but a huge drawback is that it does not rotate, so if you want to do anytype of crossfit dynamic moves- like cleans, jerks, hang cleans, etc- your hands will get torn up.

My son has the Power Block Weights which he loves. We tried to buy him the EZ Curling Bar. Unfortunately we didn't catch it worked with all but his model so we had to return it. Watch extremely close when you are ordering from Power Block. They make you pay the shipping for all returns. We paid $21 shipping to receive the Curling Bar and another $25 to return it to them. Although they processed the refund of the $129 actual cost of the Curling Bar quickly, we have nothing to show for the $46 spent in shipping costs.

love the dumbbells-- great product-- still have not received my full order. it's been amost a month. Customer service keeps saying it will be here but despite 2 phone calls still no product. Love the product just wish they were timely in providing help and answers for the remaining order

The powerblocks are awesome and amazing products however the pin selector on one of mine was broke and I had to call to have a replacement sent. That went fine however on the third business day i had never received a tracking number for my package. So i called back and was told they weren't sure the status of the package either and they would let me know something in an email. A few hours later i received an email saying it was found and i was given a tracking number. It said the order was made that day, after I called, and was waiting to be picked up. So now i have to wait another 5 business days to get my new pin on top of the other three day I waited earlier, plus the week i waited on the powerblockes themselves. It would have been nice seeing that i spent almost a 1000 dollars to have that pin delivered the first day i called and sent a little faster for my trouble. My money has been received already so i guess who cares how long I wait.

I love the idea of powerblock. I'm satisfied with all of the equipment that I purchased over the past 2 years. I have two powerblock sport benches and the complete u90 and u70 set. I'm strongly disappointed in the made in China sticker on the sport bench I just bought. I would rather pay the extra money for someone in our own country to make this. There is nothing you can do to convince me that your product should be made in China as I am one smart individual ;)

I love all Powerblock product. Build solid. But the dip station attachment is move side to side to much when dip. Make it a lot harder. But is a room saver. so I can't complain to much. But I do wish they put in a pin to luck it in tight so it help stabilize it more.
