RampReviews of ramp.com

We are using Ramp for almost a year by now and love all it's features! It does most of our accounting work for us, and the parts we do need to do are so easy to do in their super user-friendly interface! We are a very happy customer!

My personal experience with ramp has been extremely positive. From the fiscal side, I love being able to see exactly who purchase what, where, and when in real time. The ability to issue spending to our direct service workers has had a positive impact on our personnel's equity by reducing reimbursements and eliminating other barriers. As for the accounting side, we're still figuring it out. Getting more and more comfortable with it each month. Due to other factors, I can't yet say if Ramp has made my job faster. However, Ramp has added much needed fiscal clarity while giving managers tools for monitoring their team's budget and a deeper understanding what item's are being bought regularly and why. Another thing I wanted to touch on is Ramp's customer experience. Absolutely phenomenal. Every representative I've had the pleasure of speaking to has been resourceful, patient, and always helpful.

Ramp has been a game changer in tracking expenses and electronically keeping receipts. With employees spread across multiple states, tracking and managing expenses has become a breeze. Also has streamlined expense entry into our accounting software.

Overall a much better experience than our old platform. It saves me time and helps me get our vendors paid more quickly. It also allows our employees much more ownership over their own department's expenses. We love that versus having to rely on me for large purchases, they can easily request a one-time virtual card and manage their own expenses. There are some things Ramp doesn't do that I really wish it did (round trip option for mileage, un-matching a transaction in case of an error, etc.) and I have submitted those things so I'm hopeful they will be added/fixed in the future. But even with those small issues, Ramp is still a huge improvement and we're loving the time we got back from switching to Ramp.

Before Ramp, we were manually approving paper invoices and printing checks. Using Ramp for bill pay allowed us to go paperless and reduce a time consuming process from hours to minutes every week.

I love everything about Ramp! Not only are they saving us so much time every month, we have better internal controls over our corporate spending, better documentation of our transactions and we get money back! They offer suggestions to add value to our bottom line. Their support line has been very responsive and helpful on the rare occasion that we need a bit of help with something!

Ramp is very manual and causes a lot of additional work to get the transactions into Quickbooks. We are also not happy with the constant lowering of our credit limit when our bank balance decreases, without increasing the limit when our account balance increases. It is not easy to work within these constraints. We have inquired about the credit limit but cannot get anyone to answer us. Overall, the experience has been mediocre. I would not recommend other businesses that I work with to use this platform. I also don't find it easy to navigate Ramp reports and other functions. I literally have to search for everything and it takes too much time. I would love to provide better feedback, however it has been a constant challenge since signing up.

Payment Timing We had a vendor that needed to get paid the same week for a project to go live. The payment was initiated through Bill Pay and the system said the payment would be delivered a full week later (it was a large payment, but we had paid this vendor in the past). I've used multiple platforms for payments and have never seen a payment timeline that long. This was unacceptable to the vendor, therefore I reached out to Ramp to see if there was any way to expedite. The customer service rep recommended we cancel the payment, without informing me that it will take another full 5 business days for the funds to be returned. So I went ahead with canceling, only to find out after that we would not have the funds back for 3-5 days and therefore could still not pay the vendor. I asked to speak to my account manager for help, but the customer service rep informed me that I didn't have a AM and I could not get one. He then put me in touch with another rep, who told me to give my availability but then would not get back to my multiple emails in effort to setup a time to figure everything out. In conclusion, Ramp held on to a significant level of funds without being able to explain what was going on and customer support could not support this issue and did not prioritize communication in order to resolve. It is clear the team is not very familiar with the Bill Pay service and need some training in customer service. The money was eventually returned to me, but for about a week it was unclear what was going on.
