Thank you for sharing your feedback—we truly want to help. We weren’t able to locate a recent email from you in our system, and if you did reach out, please know we typically respond within 24 hours. I've used StyleSeat multiple times in the past. The stylists have been hit or miss, but no issue with the platform itself. Recently I booked an appointment and the stylist cancelled day of (about 4 hours before the appointment). I contacted StyleSeat about getting a refund for the booking fee since the stylist cancelled outside of the cancellation window and I have been going back and forth with them for over a week with no resolve. The booking fee is small, but it's the principal of the matter, especially at this point. I know they can see who cancelled the appointment (the stylist) and they can also see the appointment was not paid for, so there were no services rendered. At this point I'm just going to do a chargeback with my credit card since they are giving me such a hard time. Yes, I realize they have a booking fee to make money, but their policy states it will be refunded if the stylist cancels after the 24 hour cancellation window. I'm also pretty annoyed that I'm unable to review the stylist since she cancelled. I won't be using this platform again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—we’re truly sorry for the frustration this situation has caused. While booking fees are generally nonrefundable, we do make special exceptions when a stylist cancels outside of the cancellation window. We’d like to work with you to get this resolved and ensure you’re taken care of.

My hairstylist cancelled an appointment last minute and had a 911 with extensions. Although it was very helpful in a tight situation, I wouldn’t use to again going forward. I paid for the appointment and got $50 off new client. After checking out, the hairstylist said I had to pay her because the app wouldn’t let her complete service. I showed that i had paid and was trying to contact support so I wouldnt Get charged again. She said she was in a rush and to just pay her. I’m really upset that customer service wasn’t available.

This app charges way too much fees in order for us to make our money

Thanks for recognizing me as a TOP PRO on your platform. I’m a Master Cosmetologist starting over in a new state. Joining Styleseat was the best way for me to rebuild a clientele. I obtained my professional license in 1987 experienced Salon Ownership from 2004 to 2021. During the COVID pandemic I closed my Salon and relocated. I am currently “back on the floor’ with others.
