Total garbage! - the SWOOPED AI rewrite of my resume was totally incorrect. It assigned my job duties at one job to a completely different job so it looks like I am lying on my resume. It inserted information that was totally incorrect. I will not be applying to any jobs on this platform. AVOID.

Hi Adriene, you’re right to be upset. A resume rewrite should never move work from one job to another or add details that aren’t true. Please email [email protected] from the address on your account and mention this review. We want to compare your original resume with the generated version and see exactly where it went wrong. I’m sorry we put you in a position where your resume could misrepresent your experience.

Hi Charles — yes, we’ve heard from customers who landed jobs after using Swooped. But I don’t want to pretend the platform can guarantee that. We help people find roles, tailor their resumes and cover letters, and keep applications organized. The hiring decision still belongs to the employer. If you try it, I’d judge it by whether the jobs and application materials are genuinely useful for you before committing longer term.

Made me sign up to apply for a job. Did not let me edit the AI cover letter. Then after spending the time applying and you select submit, you think youre done, only to get an email to finish the application on desktop. Final straw was trying to log in on desktop and reset my password and the link they sent doesnt let you reset it.

You should be able to review and edit your AI-generated cover letter before submitting, and the password reset link should allow you to get back into your account. It sounds like you may have run into a technical issue or an unclear step in our application flow, especially around finishing an application on desktop. Although I haven't landed a role, I found Swooped to be easy to use and was able to glean great cover letters and attractive resumes. It's difficult to know what an employer is looking for regardless of the documentation they see from candidates. But I place no blame on Swooped. Hopefully they don't rest on the laurels and continue to put out and improve where they can.

I'm very new to the site but so far, Swooped has done by far the best job of using AI to customize my résumé and cover letter for specific jobs. I've tried several other similar sites and they either make up qualifications I don't have or include stats that I never claimed, or the results look bland and uninspiring. I also love the fact that I can filter for jobs in my very specific areas of expertise (K-12 education, higher ed., training, etc.), which NONE of the other sites I've tried offered! Obviously no site is perfect, and judging by some of the negative reviews on TP, this one may not always work great for everyone. Most of that is probably due to job posters not doing their part to provide the best and most current information so I certainly wouldn't fault Swooped for any of that. Hopefully this review helps people make an informed decision. One last thing...they offer a 7-day trial for $3.00 if you want to try it out. I would strongly recommend doing that before committing to a long-term subscription and then complaining that it doesn't work!

I bought 1 year of Swooped and applied to hundreds of jobs that I wanted to apply to. One downside is that you have to apply to all of the jobs yourelf, I actually kind of like this but it is more manual. The Chrome Extension and autofill for some types of roles is nice too. The biggest problem though is that the AI will lie on your resume by reading the job title, create a resume claiming you have experience with something super specific. This can easily be missed when you are reviewing the applications. This will get you an interview and even through the recruiter stage but when you reach the hiring team they of course will nitpick about those 'experiences' with softwares that you have and of course the AI was too generous with what it says on your resume. After that you don't get anything. After my year expired I tried Oaki and had a much better experience and I am in the final stages of offers with a new company whereas when using Swooped I never made it past the 2nd or 3rd interview

Thanks for sharing this feedback. A core part of Swooped is that users stay in control: we show suggested resume changes clearly, and you can review/edit before anything is used. You can also adjust settings to control how aggressively the AI enhances your resume. The Chrome extension/autofill is there to reduce the manual work where it fits, but we intentionally keep submission in the user’s hands.
