The NovelryReviews of thenovelry.com

Life changing, the Novelry gives you the confidence to write the book, to build your world and develop it onto the blank page. The Novelry literally takes your hand and walks you through each stage of how to write a book, from that first idea to the last chapter. The difficult pieces you find hard are brought to life through excellent videos and fabulous reading material.

The Novelry was like a giant pitchfork that dug under the rock hard soil I was languishing and set me upright and got me writing my novel. I felt supported and understood from the first moment I signed on. Louise and her writers staff are brilliant. The videos and thoughtful lessons are spot on. And the tutor sessions once you have material are gold. I have finished a first draft of my book - and am so excited to really accomplish this task. The Novelry makes writing a novel fun and sets you on a journey ... I can't rate this course high enough. A thousand stars.

The curriculum, community, and staff of the novelry are on point! Whether you want to become a published author or you are interested in crafting a piece of writing for yourself or your family, this is the place to do it. I highly recommend the Novelry - it is worth the investment!

If you love books, the Novelry is a wonderful place to explore your creativity and increase your enjoyment of your writing craft. I particularly enjoy course elements which analyse the texts from a writer's point of view. It doesn't matter what level you are, from beginner through to published writer, The Novelry offers inspiration and support amidst a vibrant and positive community. The 'Novel in 90 Days' course is energetic, sparky and will develop your understanding of story-telling. 'The Big Edit' is a valuable resource which makes you examine your story on a number of levels so that you can build on strengths and find solutions to problems. The Ultimate Manuscript Assessment has been invaluable both in helping me develop a novel beyond what I might have achieved alone, and in helping me learn and raise my game as a writer. I really enjoy being a part of this community. There's an ongoing and wide choice of genre and writing workshops on offer, facilitated by published, successful writers who are keen to pass on their expertise. I also very much enjoy the talks by published authors and other industry professionals.

The Novelry literally saved my life. In early 2021, I'd had Covid and was struggling with symptoms of Long Covid, worrying about my elderly husband and my sister who had terminal cancer. I needed to write. I couldn't, despite the fact I was a full time professional writer for nearly 40 years. I stumbled on The Novelry and the Classic Course. That course filled my head with gorgeous imagery, the lessons were not just inspiring but brilliant, offering me a new way to see my work and how to write in general. The quotes often sent me to my bookcases (because I owned the book) to read more deeply. Book quoted that I wasn't familiar with I ordered on the spot. As I progressed through the course, I was able to set a mess of a novel on the right path. I began to feel better. My illness was real, but anxiety over not being able to work was assuaged by the gentle, kind lessons and the supportive community at The Novelry. I followed the Classic Course with the 90-Day Novel and, this year, The Big Idea class. Right now I'm taking the Six-Week Your Best Book Ever class. This year marks 40 years as a professional writer with 170 books to my credit. I'm still learning. And I'm learning with The Novelry. It has changed my life.

I have done a few other courses in the past, but what The Novelry does, more than others, is give you a sense of community. Besides an amazing varied array of guest speakers, there is a weekly story clinic, where the tutor and other writers offer solutions to whatever problems you might be grappling with. Also specialised monthly sessions give the writer the chance to delve deeper into their chosen genres led by one of the best selling authors of that genre. All this besides the actual course lessons that teach you how to put your story together, to give it the polished finish needed for submission. One to one chats with a chosen tutor, help to guide you along the way. Overall I'd say you never feel alone at The Novelry, something that was particularly important in the last two years. It also helps, but is not entirely necessary, that you like dogs.

I was just dabbling around with little prospect of finishing anything when I took the 90 Day Novel Course. I got to the end which gave me the confidence to revise & revise some more. But the best thing about The Novelry is the people! A supportive environment fostered by Louise & the tutors and a whole crew of other writers at all stages.

This course is an absolute wonder. Dynamic, supportive, creative: truly a whole different level than other courses. I have suggested it to friends who have taken the plunge as well and can't stop raving. The course touches heavily on the concept and power of magic, and that's what has been bottled up for all of us to tap into here. Bravo.
