Not worth the price, the information did not even cover 1/4 of the exam.

Excellent course! Well worth the purchase price. Definitely was instrumental in me passing my CSCS on the first try!

In order to set the stage, Allow me to describe my background. I’m a part-time personal trainer in the evenings at an LA Fitness and a forensic chemist by day in a crime lab. My philosophy to strength training? It’s functional in nature (the AthleanX methods). Nearing my 2nd year as CPT, I found myself pursuing an NASM certificate which goes without saying was light years beyond my original unnamed certification that I obtained by taking a weekend class. The NASM program was indeed intense, the weekend overhead squat live event in Atlanta I attended was equivalent to drinking from a firehouse as it is. Nonetheless, Fast forward six months, I’m a week away from my original certification expiring which would have ended my employment at LA Fitness. I had read most of the NASM textbook (600 plus pages), took ample notes with a thousand plus flash cards, took all the NASM online modules but had the feeling I wasn’t ready. A pair of practice test at the end of all the modules just wasn’t enough. My real test was scheduled for the upcoming Monday, so in a bit of desperation I bought coach Tyler’s program from the trainer academy (yes, it’s the price of the NASM retake but you’ll find it’s well worth it). I can attest to the fact that the 5 practice test given in this program were rigorous, I wasn’t passing them the 1st time which gave me a bit of a panic attack as I didn’t recall seeing some or a lot of the questions / material in my NASM course. However that Monday when I took the real NASM test, I’ll be damned if I didn’t encounter a minimum of 35 questions on the real test. I felt relieved I was confident I now knew the answers and almost wanted to celebrate during the real test as I knew I was going to pass but I was also a bit annoyed that I could swear that’s not in the original NASM course. Yes, I’m sure it was but the NASM material is incredibly vast. FYI most of those questions on my test where “marketing / business side” of the NASM course. I only had maybe 6 questions on the overhead squat assessment, only a few on the section one chapters. Had it not been for the 5 practice tests from the trainer academy I would have probably been scheduling myself for a rather expensive and humiliating retake. I feel the trainer academy course was a bullet proof vest I needed walking into a gun fight. My suggestion is if you would like to avoid a retake, this program is one valuable weapon.

Here is Miao from Singapore. I got to know Trainer Academy via Google search. I was impressed about the their systematic study summary at first. During my exam preparations, I combined with text book and their online practice. It helps a lot. I scored 600+ after two full weeks study. Highly recommended!

It helped a lot to have the audio piece to be able to listen over and over on the go. The practice tests helped the most. But the review notes by itself were not comprehensive enough to pass the test with.

Very comprehensive package. A lot of questions that randomly generate so you don’t memorize the answers. Very good program.
