I took the Life Insurance Guaranteed Pass training, and I was very disappointed. The material is long, dry, and unnecessarily complicated. There are very few video lessons, breaks, or quick explanations to make the material easier to understand. Most of the course feels like reading page after page of text. For something that is supposed to prepare students for an important licensing exam, I expected a much more engaging and effective learning experience.

I took their life only insurance It’s so bad very dry info and complex info for a beginner it’s very poorly taught as it’s a video and a full slideshow with complex info. Because of that you have to memorize a ton of info just to pass the 100 sim exam it’s ridiculous, don’t be surprised when you have to buy an extension cause tbh I did that’s how they make a large chunk of their money because first off the sim exam doesn’t have all questions from the prep reviews which is why I felt stagnant in terms of understanding everything and it’s taking me a long time to finish. and I bought the extension for 44 bucks!!!! It’s ridiculous. Take your money elsewhere not with them

To expect someone to study and pass in 40 days with zero knowledge of insurance is absurd. I have found the study guide to be highly difficult and does not match what is on the quizzes. I have to make my own flash cards and study for a very lengthy time on each chapter. They have advertised this on false premises. I will not recommend this to anyone!

Terrible Company with a profit over people mentality. They are control freaks and mirco mange ever aspect of your training. Do not use them

Buggy online tests, really badly organized teaching material. Extremely dull and repetitive. Choose any other option for study and learning resources.

straight out the gate, i purchase the 129.99 or w.e plan for Life/Health, total being 136.99. got the receipt on the screen. i come back to it a day later to log in and theyre saying i have no purchase history. i look and look, nothing saying i paid for the course aside from the receipt from the bank saying they took the funds. this is already a bad start with what im seeing to be a bunk trash company. IM GOING TO MAKE A BETTER VERSION OF THIS SERVICE. LETS GOOOO

No where on XCEL's website does it disclose that courses must be completed within 30 days of purchase. The only place it says this in the unreadable 8px font "Terms of Service" at the bottom of the checkout page. When I called to ask them where on their website they inform customers before checkout, the customer service rep told me it was my fault for not using the Zoom function on my computer to look for the "Terms of Service" before paying. I asked her if she does this when she makes purchases and she didn't say anything. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company. Glad I didn't wasted my time on this course because after reading the Reddit reviews, it's obvious that everything about this company and their product is garbage.

My negative experience was specifically with the Spanish-speaking customer service department. I contacted XCEL expecting professional assistance in Spanish, but unfortunately the representatives I spoke with were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Their attitude made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience rather than part of their job. Instead of receiving courteous customer support, I was met with impatience and a lack of professionalism.
