IRA accounts -- BEWARE high $125 flat fee
I'm reasonably happy with my basic Fundrise account (although I haven't tried withdrawing funds yet, which might change my mind). But BEWARE of doing an IRA through Fundrise and their partner Millenium Trust. MT charges a flat $125 asset fee on these Fundrise IRA accounts, which is a proportionally huge fee if you only have a small IRA balance (and you'll still be paying Fundrise's account management fees on top.of that). By the time I was billed for the $125 flat fee it was too late to liquidate my account, and now I'm stuck paying it, thereby wiping out most or all of the potential annual earnings on my IRA and also having my money tied up by Fundrise's liquidation policies. So unless you plan to open a large IRA account in the six figures this fee is a total rip-off. Look elsewhere for good IRA investments.
