PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

We've made three purchases from PowerBlock and had no issues whatsoever with billing, shipping, or the condition of the products. The U series are our favorite adjustables. They aren't a perfect design, I would give the U70's 4/5 stars, but they seem to be the best adjustable dumbbells out there, and they are extremely high quality, they work exactly as advertised.

These are the most balanced, easy to use dumbbells ever. My first set of PowerBlock dumbbells were 120 lbs. and I purchased them in 1997. Great product.

Easy to switch the weight and very solid construction. I wished I had bought them years ago.

When it comes to space-saving, adjustable dumbbells for your home gym, there's only one choice as far as I'm concerned...and that's PowerBlocks. These things are solid, easy to use, and easily replaces a whole rack of dumbbells. I have a 2- car garage that I use as my gym, so space is at a premium. PowerBlocks have a small footprint, and the variety of exercises I can get with these is second-to-none. Shipping and customer service was great as well. Keep up the great work!

Very happy with my powerblock purchase. Love that I now have up to 33 pounds in a nice compact area that doesn't take up a bunch of space. I look forward to working my way up to gaining strength to lift heavier now that I have a set of powerblocks!

I recently started working out with fitnessblender.com and saw they were using these weights. Since they seemed to work with every workout style I bought a pair and have been very pleased with them. I highly recommend them to everyone!

they still support their older products, many companies do not. New pin for old model for a good price. Solid company.
