Hi Danielle Lynch,
We appreciate your feedback, but we feel it’s important to clarify some inaccuracies in your review to ensure transparency for others reading this.
Website Usage: You mentioned that your website isn’t live, but our records show that you have been actively using the website since October 2023 when it went live.
Contact Form Functionality: The $200/ 3 Years charge for the contact form was not a hidden fee though the cost of SMTP is $25/Month. The form required an SMTP relay server, a third-party tool necessary for exchanging data between the website and your email. This was clearly communicated to you during the process.
Hosting Fee: The $1,000 hosting fee you referenced was for a 3-year premium hosting plan (starting July 2023) through Liquid Web, a reputable service provider. This fee was not arbitrary but covered a significant period of high-quality hosting services.
SSL Certificate: The $450 charge was for a 3-year SSL certificate renewal, not a one-time fee. SSL certificates are typically renewed annually, and the cost reflects a 3-year commitment, which is standard in the industry.
Website Content: The “improper English” you mentioned was placeholder dummy text, as we were waiting for you to provide the final content. This is a standard practice in web design to allow clients to review the layout before adding their own text.
Backend Access: You were provided with full backend access to your website. However, due to a lack of technical knowledge, you changed the name servers, which caused the site to go down. This issue was not caused by us but was a result of those changes.
We understand that technical processes can sometimes be confusing, and we strive to support our clients every step of the way. However, it’s disappointing to see such misrepresentation of the facts. We take pride in delivering quality services along with the minimalistic cost and maintaining transparency with our clients.
If you have further concerns, we encourage you to reach out to us directly so we can address them professionally.
Regards,
