PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

I don't mind paying the pricey shipping, but when Power Block sits on the order for over a week before shipping out is ridiculous. If you are going to charge for shipping, then ship order within 1-3 days. Other than that, product is quality and I am very happy with it.

I got the Urehtane U90-Stage 1 and all I can say is awesome. The weights are super easy to change, the equipment is of the highest quality and the dumbbells are really easy to grab and use. Thinking of getting the kettle ball as well. I got the dip accessory for the bench as well and while it is not 100% stable, I have had no issues in using it....it works. Great product, couldn't be more satisfied :)

I was somewhere hesitant to buy this product because of the price. My friend has old PowerBlocks for over 10 years and he highly recommended. I got U90 with stand and it works great. It is very high quality product, it made my workouts much more fun. I use negative resistance training and at the end I have to do full burn out using less and less weight. These dumbbells work great for this since I can change weight quickly. Just for a reference, I had dumbbells with threaded ends.

Really impressed by the customer support on my recent order (expansion pack & stand). I am in the process of moving overseas and the movers were coming in a week. I waited too long to place my order and was concerned package would come after the movers. I called the customer support number and had to leave my number. Someone called me back in a few hours and expedited the order so it shipped that day. Thanks Powerblock team! Oh, the product is fantastic also!

Great product that provides nearly unlimited range of weights. Equipment is comfortable, compact, durable, and very quick to change out. This makes other dumbbell sets seem like such a waste of space.

I like my power block set, but I thought it would be easier to change amongst the various small weight differences for U33. For example, to go between say 11lb and 13b you'd have to add/remove the adder weights vs just selecting the weight with the clip. I would update the description to be more clear so that people know what they're really getting.

I really love how much space is saved by these, and the grips are very comfortable and quite durable foe being foam. However, there's really no way to do some of the other well-known dumbbell exercises--specifically goblet squats. I wish they had a more accommodating shape for that purpose, and perhaps that there were some way to make them a little less wide for when held length-wise next to you. But I don't regret buying them for a second!
