PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

We were looking for a compact, strong, easy to use set of weights for every day use, and shopped around several brands before deciding on PowerBlock. The Classic 50 Set (10-50 pounds) meets all our needs, with more than enough weight options for all the exercises we do.

I bought these based off FitnessBlender's recommendations, whose workouts I have been doing for over a year. This is a very compact set of weights. It is great to be able to use the same great product as my personal trainers. Happy to be part of the PowerBlock family!

i love the fact that i can have a lot of weight but it doesn't take up any space.

Very happy w/Powerblocks themselves. Assembling the stand was more difficult/annoying than it needed to be. Essential but not worth the money.

I found out about these dumbbells from watching fitnessblender.com. They highly recommended this brand, and when I decided to invest in dumbbells I knew these were the ones I wanted to get. I have only worked out with them once, but the quality is great and I am sure I will get many years out of them. It takes a bit to get used to using the pin to adjust the weight, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon. So far, love these weights and am so excited to have made the investment!

Shipping was rather fast, correct type I needed to go from 50lbs to 70lbs. Yeah....all good. It works for now till I really need 90s

The powerblocks are awesome and amazing products however the pin selector on one of mine was broke and I had to call to have a replacement sent. That went fine however on the third business day i had never received a tracking number for my package. So i called back and was told they weren't sure the status of the package either and they would let me know something in an email. A few hours later i received an email saying it was found and i was given a tracking number. It said the order was made that day, after I called, and was waiting to be picked up. So now i have to wait another 5 business days to get my new pin on top of the other three day I waited earlier, plus the week i waited on the powerblockes themselves. It would have been nice seeing that i spent almost a 1000 dollars to have that pin delivered the first day i called and sent a little faster for my trouble. My money has been received already so i guess who cares how long I wait.
