PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

Best at home dumbells ever, very well made. Love the ability to switch back and forth between different amount of weight. If I have one nitpick, it is that taking the adder weights out, and back in the handle can be a little annoying. But overall a great piece of equipment

Do not buy ab climber or similar tools. Have powerblock and a platform step. This is enough for long term use. I use mine for step exercises with light loads. I am able to do it at home. And you can start light because of the versatility.

I've been saving up for PowerBlocks for 2 years, and when I finally had enough to get them this Christmas, I was delighted by them, even more than 2 years of anticipation could build up for! They store easily, have challenged my fitness in multiple ways, and are sleek and efficient. Very thankful for weights that work well for someone with limited space who uses them frequently.

These adjustable dumbbells are easily the fastest I've ever personally used in regards to changing weight. The build quality is solid, the weights are accurate, and they're easy enough to grip comfortably even for slightly thicker hands. I do my workouts inside the house when my children are sleeping, and my only complaint would be the slight rattling in certain exercises from the adder weights, but my U-90 is definitely less noisy than swapping out plates on my old dumbbell handles.

I'm not sure how you can improve on something that is simply fantastic and easy to use as PowerBlock.

I just received my PowerBlocks and have not had a chance to work with them for very long. I am pleased, however, that they are 1) everything they are advertised to be in quality, and 2) a great idea! I can't think of a reason that I will change my mind.
