PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

My powerblock stage 3 u90's with large stand are the best choice in home Dumbbells if high quality, space and convenience are what you're looking for in a home gym. I'll be expanding to stage 4 soon and purchasing the barbell accessory.

I ordered the U-90 starter pack and slowly added the expansion packs and the rack at money permitted. Every time the order came quickly and was the correct item. Whwn my wife ordered the wrong rack as a Christmas gift, they accepted the return no questions asked and paid for shipping for the return.

I should've purchased these a long time ago. I've got the urethane set that goes up to 125 pounds but since they don't take up any space at all, you wouldn't even know it. Best thing about these is how quickly you can select your weight. So fast that you don't miss a beat. I love these things. Thanks PowerBlock!!

These dumbbells are amazing. The PowerBlock mechanism is a much more efficient mechanism than any of the other Bowflex models and similar models that have moving parts for changing the weights. Also the PowerBlocks have very fine intervals (up to 2.5 lb increments) that allow me to do a large variety of exercises with a single set of dumbbells. Also, you can even buy expansion weight sets that go up to 130 lbs which is awesome. These are highly recommended to anybody looking to supplement their home work out, especially if you have limited space / cannot afford alot of workout equipment. I am very happy with my purchase and I am glad that I did my research and went with these over other dumbbells.
